Week 3 Mingle

The last week has brought the first spilled blood. Three of the contestants are gone, with the promise of more to fall soon. The atmosphere around the house will start to get heavy around Wednesday, which is when the first game of the week is. It's almost like the house knows something is up...

The conspiracy is beginning to unravel. Dazai isn't Dazai, and the cracks are forming in his act. But that act must be held up, or the Foundation will be brought in to take control of the game. Now everyone must play the part and act like everything is normal, at least on camera. That stress of always performing is bound to make someone crack eventually.

Once again, the cameras and microphones change. The contestants will have to search out new spots for their secret conversations. Even one wrong step, one wrong word, and it's all over for this group. Everyone is watching, and they need to play their roles.

They better keep an eye out too, because storm clouds are starting to loom over the area, both figuratively and literally.

MOTIVE

[foundationmods]

[For the third time, Dazai will gather everyone in the living room. This time, though, he looks a bit worn down. It's as if he didn't get much sleep last night. And while he tries to keep up that cheerful voice, his heart just isn't in it.]

Hopefully everyone had a good rest this weekend! Now, it's Monday again, so that means it's time for a new motive! This motive has come right down from the top brass, so I know it's going to go right to everyone's hearts.

[And Dazai starts passing out pictures. They're of loved ones anyone might have in the Foundation: friends from their own world who were brought to this one, new friends they have made here, you name it. They might even be people present in this game. As long as they are alive and at the Foundation, they can be in a picture.]

I have been told that, if we don't have a murder by Friday, the Foundation is going to start executing these people one-by-one. The only way to save everyone is to kill somebody. One death, that's all we need! Then your loved ones will be safe.

[He hesitates there, and he silently mouths "I'm sorry" before he continues.]

At around 7 pm, just a couple of hours before sunset, a prinny will come running through the house. If left uninterrupted, it will go to the kitchen to get a spatula.

[Once again, everyone is invited to the studio. When they take their seats, George and Ozaki's spots now contain only flowers, much like Azula's.

When Dazai walks out on stage, it is not with the usual energy he has for these presentations. No, he seems pretty somber as he walks out, with the smile only appearing on his face once he is front and center. With all the characters have learned in the past two and a half weeks, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Dazai is acting right now. The surprising part instead is how blatantly he lets his feelings show, up until the moment he throws on that smile.]

Aaah, good, you all made it.

[His tone lacks the usual energy it has as well.]

Originally I had a nice set of puzzles for you all to complete, but the Foundation doesn't appreciate my brand of humor I guess. They vetoed it, and gave me something else for all of you to play instead.

[The prinnies have small wristbands for everyone to wear. They are all currently green in color.]

Everyone will need to wear these for the duration of the game. Today we will be playing infection. Now don't worry, you won't actually be getting sick with anything! It's just for pretend, after all.

As soon as the game starts, two of you will randomly be marked as 'infected'. If you are 'infected at the end of the game, then you will be executed.

But not to worry! This infection won't stay with anyone permanently. Any time two people touch, their infection status will switch. So if A and B give each other a high-5, and A is infected while B is clean, then B will become infected while A will be clean. The goal is to ensure that you are not infected by the end of the game. Your wristbands will track your infection status automatically too.

Any touch will switch two people's infection status, and if three or more touch at the same time then it will be randomly switched among the group. And while the game of infection is going on, we will be playing some other games too. So! Be careful about who you touch here~

And before anyone asks, no, I cannot become infected. Nor can any prinnies. Only people wearing the wristbands are included in that part of the game.

((OOC: We will be keeping track of infection switches via flatview order of comments. In order to keep better track of who is touching who, your comment header must include the word "touch" in it. If you do not include that in your comment header, then the touch won't count and the switch won't happen!

The 'touch' comments can start as of this comment, and will end with an ending comment at around 9 PM EST. 'touch' comments made after that ending comment won't count towards the game.

How is this actually supposed to prove anything?! You're trying to prove we're monsters by killing people if we don't go along with it?! Even if the murder does succeed, isn't that just proving that we have people we care about?!

[Saki stares silently at one of her photos, lips pressed into a thin line. When she speaks, it's barely a whisper.]

[But as for the others? Goro, Oda, Atsushi, Karen, and Inaba can all be seen among them.]

[He also doesn't bother looking at his pic- but with a dramatic sigh he goes to a knee before Dazai leaves. This is certainly not how he meant that conversation over the weekend.]

Some are of those everyone knows here - Akechi, Akira, Azura, Karen, Silver - but there's also a picture of another man who isn't here as well.]

He tucks away the photos, looking coldly at everyone - before turning to leave.]

[ There's a pause before he taps her shoulder with the back of his hand. It's brief and his hand is back down again. ]

Too many people watching for them to carry that out.

[Casually takes the photos and before anyone can see them he rips them up and CRAMS THEM INTO HIS MOUTH]
