Week 3 Mingle
The last week has brought the first spilled blood. Three of the contestants are gone, with the promise of more to fall soon. The atmosphere around the house will start to get heavy around Wednesday, which is when the first game of the week is. It's almost like the house knows something is up...
The conspiracy is beginning to unravel. Dazai isn't Dazai, and the cracks are forming in his act. But that act must be held up, or the Foundation will be brought in to take control of the game. Now everyone must play the part and act like everything is normal, at least on camera. That stress of always performing is bound to make someone crack eventually.
Once again, the cameras and microphones change. The contestants will have to search out new spots for their secret conversations. Even one wrong step, one wrong word, and it's all over for this group. Everyone is watching, and they need to play their roles.
They better keep an eye out too, because storm clouds are starting to loom over the area, both figuratively and literally.

We don't have any sort of firearms in the realm I come from.
[ except for the FEH summoning gun lmao ]
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to the noises they make. The suddenness of firing one, and how quickly it can result in someone's end.
[ so. same hat, Inaba. she's a medieval lady, let her keep using lances and shit. ]

[ Interesting. Even though she doesn't know the specifics. ]
I've heard it a lot in shows and movies, to be honest, but in real life... seeing it? Hearing it? It's terrifying. And it's hard to stop it.

[ she's not quite sure what that means, but apparently it's at least half a millennia ago to this world. it completely boggled her to hear that, the first time. ]
I think...that's my problem. They're so loud. And once you fire one, it's--you can't stop it. You can parry blades, or block strikes, or even hold the wielder's arm back if you're quick enough, but firing a gun...
[ no bueno ]

[ At least, as someone who comes from a modern day city in Japan. ]
I know some people can stop it with abilities, but it's definitely very difficult.

I can imagine. I've been able to parry arrows with my lance, before, but something even smaller and faster...I don't think I could.

Anyway, maybe we should. . . move away from this topic.

...um, was there something else you wanted to chat about?

Azura will shuffle the box in her arms and start to walk outside, motioning to Inaba over her shoulder. ]
If you don't mind, I'd like to sit outside for a bit.
[ Azura takes a seat on the porch, setting the box between them. Ask away, Inaba. ]

[ That much is the truth as she finds herself smiling and following her outside. She does sit next to her, though. ]
I. . . don't know where to start, but what was your home like, exactly? Besides medieval.

There are bandits and other unsavoury folk who enjoy roaming the streets, so most of Nohr's citizens prefer to stay indoors, or underground, at the marketplaces they've made.
Especially in recent years...Nohr is steadily unravelling. But the people there, my step-siblings, they're kind, and they're doing their best to start a reform, I've heard.
no subject
That. . . definitely sounds like a huge mess. I can't imagine living in a place where you have to stay inside out of fear that someone might attack you or steal your crap. But if they're doing a reform--
I think that's definitely a good thing. Improvement and change can help a lot.

There's....a lot more to this story that I can't elaborate on, but the short of it is that things are going on behind the scenes. Nohr and Hoshido's enmity for each other wasn't a result of political tension like most citizens think.

It's fine, though-- you don't have to tell me. But it does sound like there's a lot going on.

I just hope they can find the power to stand up to the King.
[ until she and Corrin can convince them to join their cause, that is. then they can ALL fight Garon as a family bonding activity ]
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'd love to tell you. I just can't.
