The last week has brought the first spilled blood. Three of the contestants are gone, with the promise of more to fall soon. The atmosphere around the house will start to get heavy around Wednesday, which is when the first game of the week is. It's almost like the house knows something is up...

The conspiracy is beginning to unravel. Dazai isn't Dazai, and the cracks are forming in his act. But that act must be held up, or the Foundation will be brought in to take control of the game. Now everyone must play the part and act like everything is normal, at least on camera. That stress of always performing is bound to make someone crack eventually.

Once again, the cameras and microphones change. The contestants will have to search out new spots for their secret conversations. Even one wrong step, one wrong word, and it's all over for this group. Everyone is watching, and they need to play their roles.

They better keep an eye out too, because storm clouds are starting to loom over the area, both figuratively and literally.

[ The why is complicated for any of the whys she could ask. There's a beat as he gives a shrug. ]

I know what you're capable of. I know you can take care of yourself if they even try.

[ He looks at her, amber meeting blues for a moment before he glances away. He's also letting her know again what she's mean. He's been doing that a lot here. ]

[ She figured as much, and yet...she couldn't help but ask anyway after she took the photo. ]

Thank you for having faith in me. [ She smiles, and she understands the gesture enough, so ... ] I think I should at least return the gesture.

[ Aqua pulls out one of the photos and holds it out to him. It's of Vanitas. ]

[ Don't thank him? It's embarrassing.

There's a protest there, and his mouth is already starting to form the words to try to regain his edge, when he sees the picture.

Oh.

He takes it and stares at it, before looking up at her. ]

Why do you have this?

[ Context says it's because he's one of hers, but... it's still hard to believe. ]</small<

[ So ... thank him a lot then??? Ok, got it!! ]

Because it goes both ways, doesn't it?

[ There is that warm smile still, with no hint of sarcasm; just complete sincerity all the way. Honestly, they've...come so far.

If anyone had told her that she'd be able to get along with Vanitas years ago, she'd have probably stared at them like they had three heads. ]

[ There's a beat and then he'll give a nod. ]

Yeah, I guess it does.

[ It's easier to admit, especially given their circumstances. It's been a long two years, but there's been a little bit of light in his life thanks to her.

Putting the picture into his pocket before he decides that's enough. He does give her a light tap on the arm with his hand as he moves past her. ]

[ And before he gets too far: ]

...Vanitas, would you like to continue taking a walk with me?

[ There's a beat before he looks at her. And then he'll offer a shrug. ]

I have nothing better to do.

[ He'll give a wave for her to lead the way. Just going to fall in step next to her. ]

I'm glad I'm not interrupting anything important.

[ A small "walk" through the backyard, though she stops in front of some flowers and kneels before them, reaching to lightly touch one. ]

...It's really hard to believe we've been here almost a month now.

[ Stuffing his hands in his pockets and standing there to watch for a moment. ]

Other than the weekly deaths, it's almost... peaceful.

[ His edges have been softening more and more here and he's not really sure what to make of it. ]

We should spar some time.

I can only hope it'll continue to grow even more peaceful. Even if we both know it'll probably be a long while before that's possible.

[ But, it's a nice thought for her to entertain. ]

I would like to. It's been awhile, hasn't it?

Usually these shows get more dramatic with each week.

[ So peaceful days aren't going to last. and yes he watches reality tv. ]

[ They probably are.

Either way, Aqua smiles at that, seeming more amused if anything. She can see the challenge for what it is. A bit of mischeviousness glints in her eye. ]

[ If you call antagonizing Nora and running around throwing powers at him as exercising. ]
