Week 3 Mingle

The last week has brought the first spilled blood. Three of the contestants are gone, with the promise of more to fall soon. The atmosphere around the house will start to get heavy around Wednesday, which is when the first game of the week is. It's almost like the house knows something is up...

The conspiracy is beginning to unravel. Dazai isn't Dazai, and the cracks are forming in his act. But that act must be held up, or the Foundation will be brought in to take control of the game. Now everyone must play the part and act like everything is normal, at least on camera. That stress of always performing is bound to make someone crack eventually.

Once again, the cameras and microphones change. The contestants will have to search out new spots for their secret conversations. Even one wrong step, one wrong word, and it's all over for this group. Everyone is watching, and they need to play their roles.

They better keep an eye out too, because storm clouds are starting to loom over the area, both figuratively and literally.

[As everyone tries connecting to the internet, they will find something important: most websites and applications are blocked on this wifi signal. They will find a couple things they can use, though. Firstly, there is a chat client called 'pesterchum' that seems to work even with all of the blocks. This might be good, because all the other ways of communicating (even phone calls) are blocked.

The second thing is a message board. It's one that the contestants may have used before, it's pretty popular with Foundation agents. It's mostly for shitposting, but the top trending thread right now seems to be about the show 'Friend or Foe'.]

[The Friend or Foe board is actually fairly active with many threads going on. A lot of them are exactly what you would expect from a message board about a tv show: a livewatch thread (which has been spamming things like "HOUSE???" and "LET ME IN" for a while now, ever since the garage grew in), a shipping thread, a thread for discussing 'best girl', you get the picture. The current meme on the board seems to be typing "[Chainsaw noises intensify]" in response to any innuendo.

But what the contestants might find interesting is the thread from last Saturday's game. Because that is where the discourse about 6350s and how this game is a sham can be found. It's mostly arguing back and forth about how it's cruel to put anyone though this, and then there is arguing over the definition of a 'person' and if 6350s qualify as 'people' or not. Or if the deaths are actually cruel, since 6350s can be revived under some circumstances.

The split right now seems to be about 60/40, with the majority favoring the "they're not from our world, they're not even real people, it's fine" argument. But the "they're people and they're just trying to survive, they deserve better than this" side is gaining traction. It seems like avoiding murder two weeks in a row has helped with that.]

[The channel is flooded with Saki/Oda art currently, since they had their thing on Friday. Akira/Goro is also popular, but that's to be expected of the boyfriends.

There's several other ships listed that make some sense (Inaba/Atsushi, Dazai/Oda, Aqua/Vanitas, Ingway/Azura, etc.) and then there's some outright crack ships (Dazai/Alcor, Dazai/Sandalphon, Silver/Akira).

Most importantly, there is a LOT of arguing. Over everything.]

[There's so much weird garbage spam to wade through and while Nora's gotten somewhat more net-and-computer-savvy since the Foundation held an almost literal gun to his head to drag him through all the training (ALL THE TRAINING, IT WAS THE WORST, ETC. ETC.), it's still a huge pain in the ass sorting through everything.

So he doesn't bother for a while, just skulking about and spying on what other people are looking up, but eventually he does settle down to do some digging of his own. Time to find out what the forums think of their Host.]
