WEEK 1 MINGLE
As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect
For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.
However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.
Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

It only takes an instant for the scene to change when he leaps upward, a pair of brown wings flashing into existence and carrying him up to the roof. After taking a couple minutes to look around, he goes for a second take off, although he seems to struggle to get more than a few meters above the roof itself, only spending a minute up there before he makes a rather wobbly landing on the grass and possibly even clipping someone lightly with a wing (oops).
Regardless, he doesn't really seem to pay any mind as he catches his breath, looking rather fatigued despite the short flight.]
Damn... just what did they do to me?
[Sometime after that minor incident, he's apparently hanging around in the rec room, browsing the bookshelves. He stops at shelf with a number of interesting titles and dubiously pulls out a book titled Roast Mortem. As he flips through it, there are mutterings along the lines of 'this is ridiculous' and 'what nonsense are they trying to pull' but it's enough to apparently engage him to the point where he's just obstructing that whole shelf (oopsx2?)]

[ sup teammate, clearly this is the best place to have a first conversation! ]
I've found one of my abilities is severely weakened as well.

But anyways, give him a moment to just straighten up and get his heels unstuck from the ground.]
I realized that, but I didn't think it would get worse merely by ascending to such a height. [Ugh. After a slight ruffle of his wings, they disappear with a flash.]
...What did they take from you?

I can tap into spiritual ley-lines. Either they're simply much weaker in this realm, or my ability to call them forth has been dampened, as I said.
[ the ground shakes a little--enough to be alarming, not enough to actually break anything. there's a watery orb that flies from her and hits the ground about 20 feet away, making the grass sink down, and fill with water, a few flowers blooming on its edges.
she made a cute kiddie pond. ]

...that was supposed to be a lake.
no subject
oh. that's... small? hm.]
If you were able to perform far greater feats before we were sent here, I doubt it's something to do with this realm.
[He'll take a couple steps over to the pond, peering into the surface. Are there fishies!?]

Something unpleasant. [ An echo to their talk in the kitchen, he sounds like he agrees now more than he did a few days ago. ]

With a click of the tongue, he finally turns to Alcor.]
I'd describe it as more than just 'unpleasant'. I can't believe I've been reduced to something so pathetic...
no subject
[ Thinking, thinking, rubbing at his eyes and—ah! ]
Pathetic is for when you try to use teabags from a kobini at a tea ceremony.
no subject
[He has no idea what that means because ty fantasy world with an undefined language?! He can grasp a bit of the context from the tea ceremony thing though.
Well, either way. He shakes his head at Alcor.]
Then what would you call that miserable display, if not pathetic?

[ She can't help but snort a little bit at the title because it's such a terrible joke. ]
I didn't think you would read this sort of stuff.
[ Unsurprised about the whole 'coffee' and more the whole. Mystery genre stuff. ]

[Which is absolutely why he's standing there with his face in the book. Finally, he snaps it shut (although not without keeping a finger between the pages um) and looks up at Inaba.]
The names caught my eye and I pulled one out on a whim, only to discover how poorly they were titled.
[He was expecting non-fiction!!!]

I don't think this is even necessarily the Foundation in this case. Hotel California did something similar when we went inside -- from what I can tell, the power suppression is almost identical, in fact.
You should recover once we're done here, but that still might take a while. I believe the file said it would take roughly two weeks once we aren't exposed to it anymore?
no subject
Regardless, that doesn't make it any less inconvenient while we're still trapped on these premises. I'm not worried about long-term effects.
[Although it sure would be a pain in the ass to be stuck like this forever...]
no subject
Oh, right, these sentient buildings feed off the emotions of those staying inside to live.
no subject
So you suspect this space is feeding off of us in the same fashion? [Because he sure hopes not...]

[Even if he lived in Hellsalem's Lot for 6 months and then spent the last 14 months with the Foundation, seeing what looks like a normal human except for the wings is pretty cool. He manages to duck as Sandalphon flies overhead, missing taking a wing to the face, then hurries over to check on the poor guy.]
You okay? Take a few deep breaths, maybe sit down. You kinda look like you're gonna keel over.
no subject
I'm fine... Like I'd let myself die that easily from something like this...
no subject
[Leo offers Sandalphon his shoulder for balance so he can pull his heels free.]
no subject
[Unfortunately, he's too prideful to actually accept Leo's gesture, proceeding to wrench his boots out of the dirt himself. Although fatigued as he is now, one of his wings may clumsily knock against Leo's shoulder, so maybe that counts as accepting??? ...Okay probably not but. At least he's got his heels out so it's something.]
You needn't waste your concern on me. I've been through worse... this is just another annoyance.
