WEEK 6 - LOBELIA
Six weeks.

They had been here for that long, and still...the game was continuing.
Yet, it felt like they were finally about to reach the end of it...
Just a little longer. 🗈
Still, things were just the same as they had been the past few weeks.
The goats and servants were still around, and so too were the witches.
Yet, it felt like this week would be the week they would finally get all the pieces to the puzzle.
But...could they solve it?
Only time would tell.

So he can be found in the rec room singing karaoke... and incidentally Rick Rickrolling anyone that comes in at one point, though he sings other things, too. He's actually a good singer??
Or on the balcony, looking out at the gardens. Though for some reason he has one of the otamatones with him. He isn't playing it; he doesn't even seem to like it. He just has it.
And as per usual, he also hangs around the library and the kitchen, reading and cooking respectively. Someone please eat some of this food. There's only so much room in the fridge.]
Kitchen
He really needs coffee, though, so he makes his way to the brewer with a quiet and polite "excuse me." His eyes aren't downcast, but he's not exactly trying to make eye contact either. At least he's not jittery on the outside, because he promised himself he was going to do his best to soldier on. He can be forgiven for his internal state, but he's not going to bother anyone with that.]

[Kurama's tone is firm and insistent but not harsh. He isn't even being a hypocrite! He has a cup of coffee himself but he also has a plate of food half-finished that he's been eating when his cooking doesn't need direct attention.]

Just watches him cook. ]

Well, it isn't Caim's actual fault that he's not Syaoran. And he's not Caar. So Kurama shoves it down and tilts his head at the demon.]
Do you know how to cook?
no subject
[ It isn't that he isn't good at it - no, the complete opposite. But rather, there's just no heart in Caim's cooking. ]

Are you feeding all the goats or something?

They're welcome to it if they want it. Maybe they'll stop eating the linens. Mostly it's that cooking is somewhat meditative for me.

Meditative? How?

Library
A lollipop stick is stuck out of the corner of his mouth. For a moment, his eyes peered up, locking onto Kurama, giving a nod of acknowledgement, seeming completely absorbed in whatever he's reading]
no subject
Well. Ignores him in that way where he is very pointedly ignoring him while being very aware of exactly where Caar is at any given moment.]

[He calls out as Kurama opened one of the books, while the tone was friendly and jovial, there's still that undercurrent of anticipation as he sets the current book aside and picked up another from the stack he made]

The hound keeper comes bustling in, humming quietly and with a little beagle that may seem familiar at least from a distance if Kurama ever did happen to pass by the kennels. The pup is currently secured under his arm with a hold on its collar, because bringing it into the kitchen can only result in disaster unless contained.]
Ah, pardon me. I wasn't aware the kitchen was still in use.
[It's entirely possible he's tried repeatedly to come in only to find Kurama still cooking. He doesn't look especially put out, though. The beagle, on the other hand, is growling a little -- possibly because it's hungry from the delay at this point.]

He's not sure if he regrets it or not now. Encountering the new servant on his own terms might have been better.
It's not Anon. He's never believed the servants or the demons held any more than the body's memory of the soul it should have. That doesn't make it any easier.]
There's no need to avoid it for my sake. It's a large kitchen, there's more than enough room.
no subject
Of course, Anon being Anon, even his servant form doesn't seem to follow the rules properly. For one: he isn't a demon. For another: there's actually very few vestiges of who he used to or should have been. It's almost like all those times when Anon cosplayed around and changed up all his mannerisms for fun.
The houndkeeper gives a little bow, far too polite.]
Certainly, but we should always defer to guests who wish to use the facilities. Not everyone wishes to see a hound where they make their meals, after all.
[That being said, having been given permission, he makes his way to what seems to be the pantry and begins taking out ingredients. It seems this version is a lot more familiar with the kitchen.]
I will be quick. Gulliver, as with all our pups, is fed a special home-made diet until he is fully grown.

You have a very nice voice, Kurama-san!

Thank you, Clear-san. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
