WEEK 1 - TRIAL

It's been a long night, with the knowledge burning in your brain that one of your number has died. Even if the victim wasn't known very well, this dangerous game of Mafia was still played, and that might be the worst of all. Not only that, but the Apprentice's warning still rings heavy in your minds - especially after seeing the state of Szayel's body.
The Lady appears for once when everyone is gathered, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, past whatever glimpses of the upper floors you might get. The room she takes you to is, frankly, extravagant. There's snacks and drinks waiting inside, along with....a new person? It's a man, and as The Lady leaves and closes the doors behind her, the man tilts his head up and speaks.
"You can call me The Captain. Since one of you have died during the game, it's your responsibility to try and vote someone out. You have six hours to talk about it, but then-"
He taps on a box on the table in front of him, labeled 'VOTES'
"-you'll have to put in your vote so someone can be punished. Not voting, well...That's a lot like not playing. And trust me - you want to play."
The man sits down at the table, leaning back and placing his feet on the table while crossing his arms.
"So get to it."
As he says that, music begins to play in the room...
30 GUESTS REMAIN.

AN UPSET (BECAUSE YOUR MOD IS AN IDIOT)
[Suddenly, there's....a smaller Staff member with short hair, putting her hands on her hips as she yells, shutting the doors and not allowing anyone to leave. With an angry expression, she lifts a piece of paper.]
You idiot! You missed a vote! Bennings isn't dead at all!
[The Captain blinks.]
....He isn't?
Did you even tally the votes, you moron?! Or did you just look in the box and pick someone?
[The Captain falls silent, and the woman just sighs.]
Get out of my way, you idiot. I'll do it.
George Bennings is not the one voted out! The Medic is, who was also an innocent and had no role! All the rest still applies.
[And with that, she huffs - and opens the doors back up, stomping out before yelling back at The Captain-]
AND BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME!!

[Ripley closes her eyes, trying to control her breathing. It's hard to not let the anger seep out into her voice. As she speaks, her voice becomes a roar.]
You...You idiots! Now we won't have anyone who can possibly help anyone who's hurt! We had Syazel, and now--!
[She puts her face in her hands, falling silent.]

And there's nothing we can do about it, right?

[He didn't expect that.]
Well. Dodging death for one week was probably more time than I deserved, hah.
[He's not overly concerned- he's come back from certain death before- but still. This isn't... great. Especially since he doesn't know if he will come back to life, again.
Medic looks like he's about to say something else, but before he can, Archimedes interrupts him by cuddling close to his chest. The bird is shivering and making distressed cooing noises. Medic frowns, and slides down to the ground, sitting crosslegged while trying to comfort his bird.
He's speaking quietly, but if you pay close enough attention, you can hear him.]

[ She does hear this right when the doors are being shut all of a sudden, frowning. ]
I'm out of here. [ She's right in front of the doors so she's outtie for real this time. ]

He'll be staring at the doorway for a while, even after the staff member leaves.]

Anyone in the way of the door will feel themselves getting shoved, along with another loud BANG on the door.
