Things had changed so rapidly in the past few days.

The loss of two of them hung over like a shroud, made even worse by the fact that an innocent person had been executed.

....Even if it was, there wasn't much they could do now. Yuuko herself hasn't shown up in public since the trial, and while some have talked to her, she's been...subdued.

Did the trial hurt her just as much as them?

Regardless, the island is still beautiful, if deadly. Summer continues, beaming down on all of them, the waves of the sea warm and inviting.

But even if things look bleak...

They have something in their hands that will soon lead to the Truth, and the heart of this matter.

And in the air...lies a heavy sense that everything is about to change.

[ Today, Syaoran can be found perusing the library rather early in the morning. People might notice something a little obvious about the books he's holding, however. All of them seem to be sexual education books. How peculiar. Maybe someone should ask him about that...? ]

Well, it was brought up yesterday, so I was curious.

I don't. My parents never taught me, and I never read any books on it when I was travelling.

Any reason for the sudden interest in this subject matter?

Watanuki brought it up during our birthday party yesterday, so I thought that it would be a good chance to study on it.

[He nods his head, and honestly is glad he's looking at books, because given the group, he may get some... terrible answers if he directly asked certain people]

Well, I suppose it would be a good time as any to learn that sort of thing.

I take it there's a certain gap in your education?

I was homeschooled, actually. [ So basically. Yes. ]

Some people tend to think this particular part is one that parents should be handling...

[Kurama considers the books, tilting his head slightly. Are any of them anything but dryly academic?]

[ They're all academic books, mostly science, given that Syaoran was told that those were the ones that he should be studying. ]

You always have to have a demon in the library, after all. He kind of counts. Sort of. He's peering curiously at all the volumes Syaoran's browsing, eyebrows ticking up a little bit.]

I was going to ask what you're reading, but now I want to know what you're doing! Are you planning something?

I'm not planning anything. . . I was just reading these to see if I could learn about how babies were made.

Oh. You have to be careful with those! Sometimes they're only written by humans, so they only account for how human babies are done.

If you want to learn how all babies are made, you have to do a little more legwork.
