After a very, very long six weeks, it has finally come. The last time everyone will need to trudge up those stairs and meet in the master suite. It's do or die time, and hopefully everyone knows what needs to be done by now.

As soon as the guests walk into the room, they will be able to smell the food that the chef has provided: duck l'orange, served up on a nice platter. Eat up everyone!

There are a few unexpected guests this time. A large group of the rats is here, and they show up in a swarm as they carry Gabe into the room, much like how they had carted him off to the Child Daycare last night. Once he is deposited in the room, Gabe will also stand up and remain there, crossing his arm and looking a bit standoffish.

They're not the only unexpected faces around here, though...

[Ripley overhears Snake and turns to look at him, raising an eyebrow.]

If you're heading out there, I'm coming, too. [Her tone is firm and resolute. Soldiers are cut from the same cloth, no matter what genes you have.] Someone's gotta watch your back.

[Between the Foundation and the other threats that exist outside of this resort...she'll only rest once she's sure that her family is safe, as well. And all of the relationships she's forged with the people here....

Surely, they can be counted as family as well.]

Hey, once this all blows over and we finally kill the Foundation, we'll come back for you.

[A small grin appears on her face, but there's little humor in it.] Besides, I still owe you a chair or two, and I don't like having debts.

[Phil rolls his eyes and lightly punches Ripley in the (good) shoulder.]

You better keep me updated on how you plan on taking down the foundation, alright? I refuse to let you come back here unless you give me details of you and Snake force feeding all of the faculty members cake.

[She grins at that.]

We'll be trying to keep a low profile, but you'll bet we'll be communicating with you guys. A couple of old soldiers like us can get a lotta damage done, with or without those kids.

[Snake looks at Ripley, studying her for a second, and then nods.]

Wouldn't trust anyone else. [He offers out a hand.] ...Should've known you wouldn't let me go back to working solo.

[In spite of it all, his tone is fond, with a deep appreciation and respect.]

[After a pause, she grips Snake's hand and inclines her head towards him.]

After all of this? Hell no. [She lets go.] We'll need some time to plan and regroup, of course. A base of operations, if you will.
