WEEK 5

They said it was a break week, but two of your number were lost anyway last week. While you're all tired and still recovering, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. The game is back on. Break week is now over. Happy Holidays."

The Staff are still like they were last week - only this time, the orders almost always go wrong, if they even manage to go through - the Staff are vanishing constantly. Meals are also getting affected - they're still perfectly edible, but they're not as delicious as they once were, with seasoning and other things occasionally being off. The Sign warning people to not take knives is still on the kitchen door, but The Chef seems incredibly tired, often resting on a chair in the corner.

The Resort is still furnished with Holiday items - but after Medic's christmas protest, there are more items related to other holidays up, and it's much more balanced - objects and colors of multiple holidays side by side in harmony, with the mistletoe still up for any needed smooching. There are, however, more wriggling...things, and there's even an entire 'tree' made of eldritch tentacles with glowing balls of light on them that wink in an oddly hypnotic fashion.

The weather is still nothing, but the courtyard seems to have switched to a much warmer clime, which while still a little cool is pleasant enough to sit outside in. Finally, the music this week seems... almost ominous...?

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone, one more traumatic this time instead of gentle like the others have been. Yet, you feel as if you know a little more about your time in this world, now. Not everything, but...enough.

Enough to see this game through to the end, at least.

Certainly not! In fact, a good rain shower could only serve to drastically improve your pose, should you utilize it correctly.

[ he casually steps into the water before diving in. ]

Hm, let's see!

Perhaps something like this. Setting the scene: a long, arduous battle against your worthy foe in the rain. The sky is overcast, and the rain is washing away the blood from your injuries just as fast as it is flowing. But the battle is done, and you are victorious. Your adversary lays slain, smiling in one final pleasure from the thrill of a battle well fought, meanwhile you... wait one second.[ with that, he dunks his head and swims underwater to the side of the pool before he pulls himself up and out of the water onto the side of the pool, creating a dramatic effect of the water falling down his body ]

--Slowly push the rain slicked hair off your face, in a bold pose, [ with that, owain shifts his body, standing in a fighting position, simulating holding the sword with one hand, and the other raising up to push his hair out of his face. ] smiling victoriously.

[ ... he had absolutely no idea what to expect from cinque's letter but it definitely wasn't this. it's probably hard to tell if cinque's plan actually works because his mask makes it difficult to tell exactly where his gaze is falling but, well. he is quiet for a while. and his head seems like it's tilted in owain's direction.

success...?!?

when he's done with his implied staring, he looks over at cinque ]

[ She is clapping at Owain with his speech and pose when she sees Gerome. Eyes widen before she gives a grin. ]

Hey hey, Gerbear! Nice seeing you here.

[ Like she didn't invite him or something ]

Isn't that super cool?

[ or you know...gee hot? ]

[ he has said gee hot one too many times in his lifetime, he's met his quota ]

Or you know maybe that she can spit around the edges of his mask. ]

Doesn't he look good? I think he looks super heroic!

Did you expect anything else? No one is as well practiced in the art of heroic poses as Owain. He could carry a stick and still manage to look noble.

[ Aww. Swimming over to the edge to fold her arms over it. ]

[ He makes sure to stay a fair few feet away. Sorry, but he doesn't want to get splashed. ]

Well, "heroic" comes to mind. That one is obvious enough that I felt no need to say it.

[ he's about to call gerome's name when he sees him freeze at the sight of him. most other people would be confused about where gerome is looking through the mask, but he can tell that his focus is entirely on him. he's blushing lightly, but owain can't help the urge to change his pose just slightly to accentuate his physical features. a thought crosses his head and he changes the position of his arm, putting on display his brand for gerome to see. ]

[ he doesn't know what you did, but he's thanking you cinque ]

[ gods, give him strength—what is with this conspiracy??? he keeps watching because, like, of course he does? of course he does. it's the change in pose that finally makes him speak. ]

Adorable as always, Owain. [ that nerd and his pride in his lineage. coming over real quick to kiss owain's forehead. ]

Oh come on, that was one of my best poses and all you can say is "adorable"? [ the smallest of pouts before he places a hand on Gerome's waist. ]

What brings you out here? [ giving him a quick look over to see how he's doing ]

No, it's all I can say in another's company. The rest is for you alone. [ so, later. in the meantime, he's doing okay and he leans in closer to owain at his touch. guess gerome's just gonna get pool water on him, nbd. ]

... Hm. [ don't mind him as he thinks of an answer. there's a glance to cinque before he looks back at owain. ] I must be here for you.

Hmm, I shall hold you to that, you realize. [ he smiles at him. and look, it's only a hand on his waist. he's not outright hugging him just yet ]

--You think she must have planned this?

And I'll deliver. Later. I won't ask you to return to your room just yet. [ gotta let owain have some fun in the pool first...! and pls, as if he isn't hovering way too close anyway, this is basically hugging distance. ]

--I do. I find her difficult to understand, but at least her intentions here are clear. She wanted me to see you shirtless.
