WEEK 5

They said it was a break week, but two of your number were lost anyway last week. While you're all tired and still recovering, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. The game is back on. Break week is now over. Happy Holidays."

The Staff are still like they were last week - only this time, the orders almost always go wrong, if they even manage to go through - the Staff are vanishing constantly. Meals are also getting affected - they're still perfectly edible, but they're not as delicious as they once were, with seasoning and other things occasionally being off. The Sign warning people to not take knives is still on the kitchen door, but The Chef seems incredibly tired, often resting on a chair in the corner.

The Resort is still furnished with Holiday items - but after Medic's christmas protest, there are more items related to other holidays up, and it's much more balanced - objects and colors of multiple holidays side by side in harmony, with the mistletoe still up for any needed smooching. There are, however, more wriggling...things, and there's even an entire 'tree' made of eldritch tentacles with glowing balls of light on them that wink in an oddly hypnotic fashion.

The weather is still nothing, but the courtyard seems to have switched to a much warmer clime, which while still a little cool is pleasant enough to sit outside in. Finally, the music this week seems... almost ominous...?

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone, one more traumatic this time instead of gentle like the others have been. Yet, you feel as if you know a little more about your time in this world, now. Not everything, but...enough.

Enough to see this game through to the end, at least.

[Well, Eski mod isn't busy anymore so -

The door swings open after a few moments - it was a rather simple lock, but the insides of storage are...Rather dark.

Will you brave the darkness?]

Cinque, do you have a light?

I have my tablet. [ A beat ] Oh!

[ Let's change her hand into a flash light! She keeps forgetting she can do things... ]

Does this work?

[ Does that work at all against the ominous dark ahead of them? ]

[Sure does! The light reflects on a few boxes in front, as well as a lightswitch on the wall.]

[oh well, time to hit that lightswitch and then examine the boxes!]

[ If that works she'll turn her hand back because this looks like a two hands kind of job. She'll follow him to the boxes. ]

[The boxes are full of...linen!

This wasn't a very good adventure - though with the lights on, you can tell there's way more stuff in here than just a few boxes. There's a lot of what they requested, and the odd thing is, new items seem to pop in and out of existence every so often.

There's also an area that seems to not have as much stuff near it.]

It's like my storage, huh? But we can actually see it.

[ She'll let him handle the ominous area of not much shit. Cinque will check out the new items. There anything interesting over here that she can gank? ]

As for the clearer area, Akira will see a spot that has no boxes or heavier items near it, with...

Huh. It looks kind of like there's a false floor there - the grain on a rectangular area of the floor is different in size and color than the areas around it.]

[crouches down and runs his hand across the differently colored area of the floor. he attempts to dig his fingers into the sides to lift it up if he can]

[ But, Sataling. There could be porn something useful! She'll actually snag some chocobo merch and a star shaped fruit if she can.

Let's head over to Akira though to see what's up. ]

[It doesn't seem like he's able to lift it up like that, though there is a wooden box nearby that seems rooted to the floor.

Hmmmm....]

[examining the box a little more. what about those words? are they engraved into the box, or can he remove them]

They're engraved, but a little work finds that they're actually removable tile pieces. Think like scrabble.]

[are all of the letters removable, or just the words?]
