WEEK 5

They said it was a break week, but two of your number were lost anyway last week. While you're all tired and still recovering, the speakers crackle to life with the voice of The Lady.

"Attention, Guests. The game is back on. Break week is now over. Happy Holidays."

The Staff are still like they were last week - only this time, the orders almost always go wrong, if they even manage to go through - the Staff are vanishing constantly. Meals are also getting affected - they're still perfectly edible, but they're not as delicious as they once were, with seasoning and other things occasionally being off. The Sign warning people to not take knives is still on the kitchen door, but The Chef seems incredibly tired, often resting on a chair in the corner.

The Resort is still furnished with Holiday items - but after Medic's christmas protest, there are more items related to other holidays up, and it's much more balanced - objects and colors of multiple holidays side by side in harmony, with the mistletoe still up for any needed smooching. There are, however, more wriggling...things, and there's even an entire 'tree' made of eldritch tentacles with glowing balls of light on them that wink in an oddly hypnotic fashion.

The weather is still nothing, but the courtyard seems to have switched to a much warmer clime, which while still a little cool is pleasant enough to sit outside in. Finally, the music this week seems... almost ominous...?

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone, one more traumatic this time instead of gentle like the others have been. Yet, you feel as if you know a little more about your time in this world, now. Not everything, but...enough.

Enough to see this game through to the end, at least.

Now then, um... You can hear me if I speak out loud, right? I'll try to explain the situation as best we can.

We're currently sealed inside an SCP that takes the form of a living, dimension-traveling resort. Said resort is probably dying. Ichigo's also here, and we're using his stone to speak with you.

Yeah, I wondered why it went dark over there. But hey, we can talk now!

Um...I don't know how long I can keep the communication open? But I can pass on any messages you need passed on. Some of the people out here stay in contact with me.

Nice to meet you both, um... I'll pass the stone around to see if anyone has any messages to send, but for the most part, we're contacting you because we were told by... A god? That you would be able to help us with the situation somehow.

...I'm not sure how you can, though.

Oh, right! I forgot to mention, I heard that Shirou was on the same mission as Ichigo? He's here too, though... He's also currently a ghost.

I mean...people said I was a god, but I'm not. Maybe it's the same kind of thing? But still, I'll help you! What do you need me to do?

I'm not really sure on the details myself, just that it involved a potion, and something about the god liking dogs?

What we were actually told was that you could speak "more freely about the situation", so um... I don't suppose you can give us more information about our situation here? Or do you have... some way of knowing what the resort is affected by or how to heal it?

Oh! You mean the moving place! Sure, I can talk about that. I don't know everything, since I only saw it how Ichigo saw it, but I'll tell you what I know.

Um...it's alive? You guys know that already, right? Because it is. It's an SCP.

So Ichigo figured that out before we arrived here...

[And once again, the competence of the Outsider comes into question...]

That, we're aware of, yes. But if you can tell me about the time Ichigo was around... Did you notice anything that might have caused such a significant change in the resort? It's clearly dying from whatever it was, and Ichigo claims to have been here for... six months, I think it was?

While he was alive, it was only about a month. The rest of the time must have come after he died.

The resort, as you're calling it? It moves around all the time. It's like...a hotel? But it moves around to take in new guests. That's why Ichigo and his boss went there, they were trying to write the SCP article on it.

Um...I know Ichigo's boss was getting paranoid. I don't know why, but he was. Maybe it had to do with the ghosts in the resort?

Oh! But if you want, I can send people to where you are once the resort has stopped moving. Maybe they can get you out?

Hm... That might be a good idea, but... Do you have someone who can avoid being tracked by the Foundation for a while? There's someone else in here that escaped and I'd... rather not end up helping the Foundation capture him, if possible...

[I haven't gotten any orders not to make arrangements for Ryoga's freedom, so it's fine~]

He could come stay with me, I guess? Most of the Foundation is afraid of me, he would be safe here.

He might get lonely though, it's an empty summer camp.

...Knowing him, he'll probably wander off and end up somewhere completely different before too long, so you probably just need to take care of him for a little while.

If you want, when you guys leave? Have him that that piece of 'me' with him. Then he can talk to me any time, and I can help him if he's about to get caught again.

[There's now a plan for how to keep Ryoga out of the Foundation's hands. Good. Now it just kind of depends on him being willing to go with it.]

But for now, what's keeping you guys in there?

At the moment, it's mostly that there's currently nothing but a void outside of the resort. Presumably it's like that because it's currently traveling between dimensions? That being said, people attempted to break out when we first arrived, and once they went a certain amount of distance away from the Resort, would pass out and then get dropped back into the lobby. I mean that quite literally, too: They would suddenly be teleported into the air above one of the couches in the lobby.

And of course, according to the ghosts here, there was never an "outside the resort", even during our first week; there's always been nothing but a void outside the resort for them.

...Which actually brings up the question of if we can get them out once the resort stops moving again.

Maybe! There has to be a connection to the world, otherwise you wouldn't be able to talk to me.

Actually, you might be able to use that piece of 'me' to that end: it's connected to me, so maybe if you hold onto it while you walk away, you won't get zapped back?

I see, so if we use the stone, we should be able to leave... Then, we just need to find a way to resolve things here.

[And that's probably not going to happen until we can get access to the brain proper...

Wait, we're probably going to have to leave holding hands or something, aren't we?

Maybe tell Ichigo to kiss and make up with his boss?

...His boss is currently holed up inside the place we most likely need to access, and refuses to leave until "it's time". Which he defined as "whenever the resort stops moving."

I just hope that happens before it's too late.

If it's the same guy from before, just make him feel bad. He's a jerk, but he can be guilted.

Kon's right. He hates admitting when he is wrong, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know when he's wrong.
