INVESTIGATION (?)

Friday morning comes and goes with no dead bodies to discover. Saturday morning passes with no trial. For two days, it seems like the Lady might be keeping to her word. This might truly be a week of rest, with no outside trouble brought in.

(She takes no responsibility for the incident in the vents, so.)

But then on Saturday night, close to midnight, the sound cuts off throughout the resort. The cause of the sudden quiet is unknown, but one thing is clear: something bad has happened.

[It's hard to tell exactly what killed her, because there's so much going on with her body. Her chest has been punctured by what looks like humongous claws, and it has also been crushed under the weight of...something. Probably whatever had those claws. And her neck is bent at an odd angle, with bite marks that show exactly how it ended up at that angle.

But regardless of which method actually killed her, One fact is clear:

Cynthia is dead.]

[ Oh no. Oh no oh no. She'll kneel down by her. Reaching to touch her.

And then another thought hits her and she's looking around. ]

Where's Owain and Gerbear?

He takes a moment to examine the body before putting his ARCUS away, shaking his head in response.]

I don't know, but they usually stay in Gerome's room, right? I can go check.

[Which would end up bringing the crowd around Gerome and Vanitas in sight so. It'll probably work out?!]

[ Sniffling and she'll get up again. Time to make sure they are okay and see about finding a cat. ]

Namely the broken lance on the ground, as well as the bloody paw prints. They are currently bathed in the moonlight streaming in the windows, so they're easy to see.]

[Someone dropped a bunch of food on the ground. Food that is now inedible, since it's all bloody. But clearly someone was hungry.

There are also bloody paw prints on the wall, since it seems like whatever killed Cynthia just pounced its way up to the second floor.

Also there's evidence that two other people were here, for four total. But who knows where those other two went.]
