Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

I'm certainly at least one of those!

[squints at him for a moment, before wordlessly passing him the bag o' bones]
Ah--
[jerks a thumb at Yoshi and Roxas]
A little discretion wouldn't hurt.
no subject
What lovely specimens! Where'd you get these?
[Medic has never heard of discretion in his entire life. Before Akira even finishes his sentence he's dumping the bag on the nearest flat surface so he can get a better look at them all.]
no subject
Ooooor you could do. . . that.
[just. presses a hand against his face, oh my god]
no subject
Them's bones.
Looking at the data: are they still human bones or in fact a YouTube video.]
no subject
Okay no they're legit human bones]

no subject
...Those are real.
[In case there was doubt.]
no subject
[yyyyeah he thought they might be, and his jaw tightens]
. . . are you okay?
no subject
[A little less excited than before, but still surprisingly calm and cheerful.
Weirdly, really.]
...I guess I should probably go, huh?
no subject
You don't have to stick around. I can fill you in on everything later.
[because Akira's going to hang out to hear Medic's ultimate report]

anyway, the first thing that will strike medic is that these bones have been lovingly cleaned. They've been whitened, brightened - they are a damned good set of bones.
It's such a shame, then, that The skull and Sternum are damaged, though he'll have to un-pile the skeleton to see it more clearly.]
medics having the time of his life right now
[Medic crouches on the ground and starts sifting through this pile of bones, bare-handed. Archimedes helps too, fluttering to the ground and dragging lighter bones out of the way.
He's gonna check out the skull first; particularly because he wants to see how old the victim might be, and he wants to get an idea of the damage it's in.]
no subject
Um.
How to say this.
The skull has major damage. actually, it looks like part of the skull cap just got blown the fuck off. Medic will be able to gauge that whoever this was got hit full on with something akin to a shotgun.
As for age - physical age, or how long it's been bones?]
no subject
Also, Medic wants to know both of those things, but right now he's looking at the skull to guess if it's, say, the skull of an adult or a child.]
no subject
Anyway, the skull has been a skull for about 5-6 months, and the age is that of a young adult.]
no subject
Also, thank god. If it was a child he'd have to reign his excitement in a bit. Now he can go fucking ham.
He sets the skull aside [Archimedes climbs inside. It's cozy.] and looks at the sternum next. What happened here?]
no subject
The Sternum is fucking littered with buckshot. It's a miracle the ribs are even still holding together. yet, whoever shot them in the chest didn't kill them right away. most of the shot somehow embedded itself into the ribs, which either makes this person the luckiest or unluckiest motherfucker on the planet.
Oh yeah - this was point goddamn blank, too.]

Roxas is about to say something when he notices that uh... they don't look like toy bones. He's just going to start quietly wondering why there's real human bones underneath someone's bed in a place like this and honestly look a little (hahaha) haunted nbd. ]
no subject
[he doesn't say anything, but he's trying to make sure he isn't freaking out]

no subject
Hey.
[also glancing at the marks, then the bones, then back to Roxas]
Do you need to sit down?
no subject
[ But Akira's words bring the blond out of his own world, even if his brows are knitted together, and though it's hard for him to express it as well as it may seem like such a small thing, he's grateful for not being totally left to his own thoughts. ]
no subject
Why don't you go with him? I'll catch you up on what we find later.
