INTRO LOG

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.

Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.

There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...

Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.

So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.

((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.

This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

[ So, that's fun.

Roxas is about to say something when he notices that uh... they don't look like toy bones. He's just going to start quietly wondering why there's real human bones underneath someone's bed in a place like this and honestly look a little (hahaha) haunted nbd. ]

[Akira's managed to maintain a calm and neutral demeanor, but his gaze flickers towards Roxas curiously, to see how he's reacting]

[he doesn't say anything, but he's trying to make sure he isn't freaking out]

[ He is not about to faint despite looking a little pale, but he does look like he's mildly just not having a good time, and his eyes flicker back over to the marks on the wall. His hands are also clenched tightly into fists, but he's just... not really able to find any words to say at the moment. ]

[. . . yeah, there's definitely a lot going on here. and while Akira doesn't like to coddle someone who thinks they're tough enough? he can recognize that uncertainty for what it is]

Hey.

[also glancing at the marks, then the bones, then back to Roxas]

Do you need to sit down?

...I don't think I want to sit down anywhere in this room.

[ But Akira's words bring the blond out of his own world, even if his brows are knitted together, and though it's hard for him to express it as well as it may seem like such a small thing, he's grateful for not being totally left to his own thoughts. ]

[an understanding nod, and Akira gestures towards Yoshi, who is about to leave]

Why don't you go with him? I'll catch you up on what we find later.

...Are you sure?

[ He'll shake his head. ]

I'll wait a little. If something worse comes up, then I'll go, but for now I think I can handle it.

[ Roxas doesn't seem willing to leave just two people in a creepy room. He doesn't know them all that well, but they're all stuck here together, so if something happened and he did nothing, he doesn't think he'd be alright with that. ]

All right. If you're sure.

[he won't shoo Roxas out if he believes he can handle it, but. as they continue to poke around, he'll keep a pretty firm eye on him]
