Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

INTRO LOG

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.

Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.

There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...

Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.

So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.



((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.

This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

For example, you're 170cm, right? Kind of scrawny, though.

The other numbers are probably things like your thoughts and feelings, but that's harder to convert.

... I see... [It's not the weirdest thing he's ever heard of, but... it's still pretty weird.]

[He just laughs, though he does at least look a little embarrassed now.]

People usually tell me I'm weird. This is also the first time I've spoken to someone besides my big bro in months.

I'm Yoshi Nanase! Everybody calls me Trash, Pest, Maggot, Spineless, Dust, Plankton, Moron and all sorts of other things, so call me whatever name you like!

[He sounds. So chipper.]

Okay! If that's what you prefer, you can use that!

[He's clearly fine with all of this.]

Is Minato okay? Or should I use a honorific, too?

Minato's fine, honestly... I don't really care.

[He's pretty easy.

Anyway.]

...Are you sure you're really okay with those names you said people call you?

If it makes them happy to call me that, then it makes me happy, too!

[It's evident in his voice. He... really seems to believe this.]

[He is not strong enough to tackle the depths of those issues right now.

I guess it's good to keep an open mind, though... [....WELL. He shivers.]

Maybe we should find shelter first. [Before he tackles the issues inherent in that statement.]

Probably... I'm still not sure what those numbers are about, but maybe there's still someplace we can find to stay?

... Yeah, we can worry about the numbers later, I think. It doesn't sound like they're going anywhere.

[THEY, ON THE OTHER HAND, are getting very cold.]

At least we're on a path, I guess.

If we're going to follow the path, I recommend that way!

[He points.]

[Which is good because it's not the way that causes repeating.

Yoshi's not going to last long before he starts to flag, though.]

[Minato's in surprisingly good shapr for how scrawny he is, so he's pretty okay to keep walking for ages--but he's a little too used to keeping track of his team's status to not notice Yoshi's current state.

He slows down, tilting his head.]

Getting tired...? We've been walking awhile. [Ish.]

I'm... [huff] bad at... anything physical... [whoof.]

I haven't walked this far in a long time...
