Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

that said he...doesn't seem to be worried? ]
Think fast!
[ that's right. flat escardos is so unconcerned about all of this that he'll throw a snowball at you. ]

[ Distracted by trying to figure out where she was or get some clue as to how she got here without any memory of it, Ellie is a very easy target for a snowball.]
Hey! Stop that!
no subject
[ because that's the real problem here, of course ]

[ After all, playing in the snow with everyone would be nice... But now wasn't the time for that. They needed to focus on the situation right now. Okay, she just has to treat this guy like one of her kids. Like one of her kids... ]
For the time being, we need to find a place to stay, though. We can play in the snow once we have somewhere safe to stay. We don't know how long it'll take to find somewhere safe, after all.

[ She doesn't have the reflexes for this so down she goes. It does take her a few seconds to gather herself back up and wipe the snow off her face, any shock replaced with frustration. ]
What the hell was that for?! [ Inaba already knows the answer, this is a rhetorical question. But Flat is welcome to answer it regardless. ]

[ he scratches the back of his head, laughing sheepishly. somehow, he feels that he might have thrown it at the wrong person, but there's still fun in that, too. ]
It's been a long time since I've seen snow like this, so I couldn't help myself, you know?
no subject
[ Inaba sounds so very exasperated. ] We were all brought in the middle of who-knows-fucking-where and you decide to just have... fun?

Well, that distracted him for a moment at least. He whips around to tell this kid off.]
What the hell kid?!
no subject
It's a snowball fight!
[ yeah he's sending another snowball phil's way ]
no subject
Look, I'm sorry kid, but I have more things on my mind than getting hit in the face by a snowball.

[ Annnd he'll get hit in the front of his black coat, before fixing Flat a look.
Do they really have time for stuff like this?
... It doesn't seem to matter though because Roxas is annoyed enough to childishly start throwing snowballs back at Flat. ]

or at least that's the spirit that flat thinks he has, considering that he has a bright smile as he dodges the snowball and throws another one right back at him. ]
Snowball fight!!!
no subject
You're going down!
[ Somehow he's getting into this after all. Admittedly he does have a competitive spirit. ]

[she at least manages to get that out before the snowball hits her square in the face.]
...oh, come on, now, buddy. You know what this means, right...?
[...she sounds a little more mischievous than angry, though, especially since she's not-so-stealthily getting some snow together herself...]
no subject
[ and, yep, he's grinning excitedly as he watches her gather snow. he, too, will start making his second snowball in order to Begin The Fight ]
no subject
[She's valuing speed over quality at the moment, so in her enthusiasm the first snowball she throws kind of dissolves into something of a snow mist as it flies towards Flat...]
...uhhhhh I do better at this usually hang on!

Whoa! [He very barely manages to avoid the bulk of it, but some of it still ends up grazing the side of his face and leaving some smaller clumps of snow stuck in his hair. He looks more resigned than angry though, as he runs a few fingers through the bangs to shake off whatever he can.
This is going to be a day, huh.]
...Is this really the time for this?
no subject
Well, it's not like we have that much else to do, right? Might as well do this while we walk!
no subject
I was thinking something more along the lines of exchanging information, actually. We might not know where we are, but we might be able to figure something out if we gather enough.

... she has good reflexes.]
H-Hey!
[as much fun as it would be to have a snowball fight...]
Aren't you even a little worried?
no subject
It's a pretty worrying situation, yeah, but we can't do anything right now but follow the way that they're pushing us. So, why stress about it?
no subject
H-hey! Isn't it plain to see that now isn't the time for this...!?

You should save that energy for walking.
