The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

[He puts a hand on his shoulder, firm. Whatever it is, he wants to snap him out of it.]

[Minato just...quietly reaches out.

And takes Akira's elbow in shaking fingers.

But his expression is just...tired, and a little numb.]

[Akira feels a little numb, judging by the way he's staring at Makoto wide-eyed and shell-shocked. but then Minato's fingers touch his elbow, and he jerks to face him, and. . .]

[he just. . . falls, the tension seeping from his shoulders, as he pulls his arm away and attempts to grasp Minato's hand in his own. EVERYTHING. . . IS HAPPENING SO MUCH]

[A small ghost clings to Akira while simultaneously trying to push him away from Makoto.]

[purrtagonist]

[noooo he is struggling against that grip]

I can't just leave her. . .! MAKOTO!

[resortghosts]

[a much stronger ghost grabs hold of Akira's arm and holds him back]

[messianic]

[Minato takes Akira's hand in his own willingly, and then tugs him close to him, gently.

For a minute, standing in Akira's space and close to him... that's what they both need.]

[purrtagonist]

[slides an arm around Minato's shoulders and pulls him close]

It's short for Ameterasu, since we'd agreed on code names.

She couldn't handle that, so she called me Ami.

Akira should be able to vouch for my particularness with nicknames.

[purrtagonist]

[staring at her, at a complete loss for words, completely and utterly floored]

[she just smiles.]

[A large pair of hands land on Akira's shoulders try to lead him away from Makoto, firmly but gently.

You don't want to be near her, Akira. You really don't]

We can still save Makoto-san. There's a way to get rid of the monster and not kill Makoto-san.

How does it feel to condemn someone to death that could have been saved?

[ He looks kind of determined now. ]

Only real monsters actually enjoy playing along with any of this.
