Week 3: Sleepover with Karaoke!

[The weekend is ever-creeping towards them, which means it's time for another gathering -- this time in the newly-accessible second floor, which comes with some of the amenities of the first but better. The soft room is pretty much ideal for this sort of thing, and if there are any windows someone's probably hung a blanket against the void.

Extra kotatsu from long-ago sleepovers have been brought up, there are snacks and drinks scattered amongst the endless blanket nests and pillow forts, and karaoke and the animal cafe are just next door. They can choose to head out for those attractions or bring in the pet animals of the cafe if they'd like. Anything is possible if you believe.]

Well, I can only speak for myself, but... Honestly speaking? Being here like this is a miracle that would be impossible back in Aterra, and I'm not even talking about the fact that we're all from different worlds.

I haven't been able to taste anything in about a decade, you know. Being properly alive is nice. Maybe now I can cook without mixing up the salt and sugar.

[Oh, man. She remembers being asked what would happen if she'd lost her tastebuds and just thinking about it is terrible. It's a weirdly practical side to the whole death debacle they've got going on.]

Well... I'm glad you have your tastebuds back? And are alive again...?

[Is Ellie ever going to stop confounding her, probably not. She's kind of just going with the flow these days.]

Did you find a favorite food here?

Well, that's more an example than anything else. Still, it's the little things. My condition might have kept me in a state of being "life-like", but not really properly "alive". Having a second chance at life is pretty great. Though I guess for me it's a third chance?

...As for favorite foods... I'm still not sure. Sweet things are pretty great, but there's still a lot to try. I mean, I still have something, since they grew near where I lived before I died, but... I don't know if they count exactly? They're still my favorite, but that might just be the nostalgia talking.

...I wonder if they'll let me try to make some here.
