Week 3: Sleepover with Karaoke!

[The weekend is ever-creeping towards them, which means it's time for another gathering -- this time in the newly-accessible second floor, which comes with some of the amenities of the first but better. The soft room is pretty much ideal for this sort of thing, and if there are any windows someone's probably hung a blanket against the void.

Extra kotatsu from long-ago sleepovers have been brought up, there are snacks and drinks scattered amongst the endless blanket nests and pillow forts, and karaoke and the animal cafe are just next door. They can choose to head out for those attractions or bring in the pet animals of the cafe if they'd like. Anything is possible if you believe.]

Oh, everything uses Star Energy in Aterra. You just put your star energy into something, and it does its thing.

Oh, right. Star Energy. It sure sounds convenient...

[It's been a while since they discussed the convoluted life of Ellie at home, but she's pretty sure she remembers all kinds of messes involving Star Energy, anyway. Including the kid thing. All the same... renewable energy?]

Well, it's not exactly perfect, either. Everyone's body is unique in how much Star Energy their body can hold, so those who don't have much in the way of star energy can't really live normal lives as a result.

Star energy isn't exactly safe, either. Kids especially have a high chance of their star energy going out of control, and if their body has enough star energy, it can do some serious damage to their bodies, or even kill them. We also can't really control it properly in an environment without Ether, which caused a lot of problems, since the Dusk Circles didn't have any Ether inside of them naturally.

Hmm... I would probably say it counts, since we're including powers like that.

I don't really think they're that wild, though...? I mean, mine was, but that's mostly because of a difference between worlds.

We are all fictional though... so it makes sense. Escapism works best with a world different than the normal boring one.
