[CONTINUE + 3] Week 1 || Act: mingle

Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your fourth 'time' trying this monday.

There doesn't seem to be many Monsters here...or at least, you think there was more before? Huh.

Well, whatever.

You still have a mission - And with three trials under your belt, you're now a little closer to figuring things out.

...How much longer will this repeat?

Not what I meant, either.

... well it's still probably also true though.

All of this... concerns me.

[If the narration could headpat Himeko in reassurance right at this very moment, it would.]

I mean - you're right that there's probably that sort of content, like... it's one of those mystery genre RPGs with visual novel elements?

Hm, yeah. Though if this is like a vn something bugs me. It said "my" narration betrayed me, not "the" narration.

As much as I'd love to say I'm the protagonist, considering I died the second week I doubt it. So do we all have our own? That's not usually how vns work, yeah?

It sounds like a premise that would be in some particularly "meta" game suggesting that everyone in the world was playing a visual novel of their own.

But as for games where different people would actually have their own narration, all I can think of is something multiplayer.

Yeah, where everyone makes their own story. Like those adventure boardgames.

...now I wish I had more experience with those.

No, you can still die and still be the protagonist.

This is a 'time loop', remember? But - instead of there being a singular protagonist...

[Himeko hates to admit this.

It makes her feel sick.]

How about we go with the theory that there are multiple protagonists? I do agree that isn't usually how a visual novel would work, but it's also not how a normal RPG works, either... even if you did have multiple protagonists...

Unless it's... co-op? I've never heard of a game like this, but that's the first thing that comes in mind.
