Monday comes onto the snowy town once more, though it still looks as if it's 'night' as ever.

Then again, you are underground. That's just to be expected, considering no natural light can get down here in the first place. The Monsters around you are just as friendly as ever, despite this being your fourth 'time' trying this monday.

There doesn't seem to be many Monsters here...or at least, you think there was more before? Huh.

Well, whatever.

You still have a mission - And with three trials under your belt, you're now a little closer to figuring things out.

How are they getting in? With the key card? And will they be using the front entrance?]

Not that I know of, it's best just to go with the keycard - it'll register that someone came in, but long as we don't trip any alarms we should have enough time to take a look around.

But yes, the key card will make the scanner beep, and the door opens.

The first room of the lab is a large open room, one with some lab equipment against some of the walls. It looks a bit chaotic in here, but in the 'there's a method to the madness' kind of way.

Care to investigate closer? or move on to the next room?]

Let's go room by room, okay? But, um... maybe don't... touch anything.

[He does a sweep of the room... organized chaos - ah, this is his natural environment.

What sort of equipment are we looking at here?]

[This doesn't look like a room that would be known for its cleaning supplies, but Karen will look around anyway, while also keeping an eye on the other two.]

[There are indeed no cleaning products here. No, the majority of what is here is robot parts. It seems like someone was building a robot?

Yeah, it's probably best to leave those things here.

From here, there are two doorways to go through. One is closer, and one is further away. Also, when they came in, did they leave the front door open, or did they shut it?]

[Yachi would never shut a door behind her during an exploration. Yachi actively left her inert skateboard in the doorway to prevent any sudden door closing.

Winchester leaves many marks, but this was the first and the deepest trauma.]

[Because... ghosts? ...Ghosts. She thinks of the spider as a ghost, for some reason, and clutches at that thought protectively.]

Which door should we try first? O-Or, um... did we... want to try splitting up?

Yes - I think that... was our thought? I am not sure if splitting up is wise, even if it means taking more time.

Splitting up would leave at least one of us alone. That seems like a bad idea.

Karen has an idea of what would be the correct door to try first under typical video game logic, but she's holding out hope that the real world logic of Sherlock's examination will tell them something useful.]

You don't suppose this is Mettaton-san's home?

[Actually, both doors are open! One has a lot of natural light streaming into it, and is probably the room the others saw last week. In fact, from Sherlock's glance, he will be able to see some sort of anime poster on the wall near the doorway. The other doorway seems darker, and they will need to go in to see it.

Also, the door is propped open with the skateboard. No worries about it shutting on all of you.]

No, this is just where that vessel was manufactured, I think. He's like me, but a ghost monster in a robot rather than a dead girl in a gigai.

[She says that absentmindedly, peering from one room to the other uncertainly.]

...does anybody have a flashlight on them? I'm not sure I want to start pressing buttons hoping for a light switch.

That would explain his reaction to your reason for using the ghost fruit.

I'm afraid I don't have one on me. If it's like most rooms, the switch should be on the inside near the door...

[Which isn't a perfect flashlight, but Karen can use it to light up a patch of wall such as the one where a light switch might be.]

Right. So, let's clear the dark room first, but, um... again, be careful with what you touch. You never know what's electrified or about to spew acid.

[The cell phone light provides plenty of light to illuminate the dark room!

This room appears to be a storage room of some sort. Just like with the previous room, there is a kind of ordered chaos to it. Whoever lives here, this clusterfuck must make sense to them.

Most of what can be found here are spare parts, but there are cleaning chemicals in here too.]

This is a storage room, with the arrangement - I highly doubt our otaku scientist is going to be booby-trapping everything.

[He does take a look over at the spare parts and carefully works his way through if he were the mess maker... the important things would only be partial - not completely buried]

[Karen, meanwhile, will be taking a closer look at those chemicals. She doubts they're an intentional trap, but before she tries to use them she wants to make sure they don't give off poisonous fumes or anything.]

And I mean. Nothing in here is intentionally trapped, but those are some industrial-strength cleaners. It's the kind of stuff you want to wear gloves and goggles while using. So a degree of caution is a good idea.

And indeed, the important chemicals are pretty much right on top of the pile. As are spare parts that seem to match up with the robot parts in the other room.]
