[CONTINUE + 2] INTRO

[After so long a trip, you're all finally here. Taken through a hidden passage inside of the very mountain itself, you find yourself standing in front of a field of flowers, growing well due to the open roof above it. If you look up, you can just make out the shimmering colors off of the barrier - looking almost like the shine off of a soap bubble.
Try not to trample on the flowers as you approach the open, purple gate, where it looks as if someone is waiting for all of you just inside. And remember to wear your masks, now that you're here!
...Still, the sight of the yellow flowers waving in the wind....such a cheery sight fills you with determination for what's to come.
Welcome to the Underground.
...Again. The loop happened again, and you're here. Everything is the same.
Someone who was dead is alive again.
...The man, who's name you forgot...You've also forgotten what he looked like.
Not only that, But more monster names have faded from your memory.
Ghost? There was never a ghost in these ruins, or in Waterfall. You have no memory of them.]

To be fair, a lot of evidence did point to him... but much like other times... I know I, for one, didn't want to believe it.
[a pause because. well.]
... it was too sad a thought. Which is funny, because the thoughts I did have for the day leading up to the trial were just as sad--but it was less sad for the two of you, I think. So in that way... of course that was wrong and what was true was sad.

[His first thought is WWX, since he's of similar size. Or maybe himself. With all the mud there's no way they didn't leave prints.]

There's also the fact that the scene was too disturbed, too fraught. Everything read more like you tried running, defending, and everything else in between before you started to fight back more seriously. So that would indicate someone who was either not usually so strong or someone you were personally close to enough to care about harming them.
I was worried about Wei Wuxian for a bit there because if Gilgamesh was found guilty, then the reaction Solomon would have should have been taken into account. It's not allowable, in short. So that would mean it'd have to be someone else either way. Of course, because I'm myself, I couldn't take myself off the table. Giovanni and Holmes only really came to mind as a thought of them fitting the height profile--and while Wei Wuxian also fit it, he had been in Snowdin the whole of the past two weeks because of the dogs. Venturing out means dogs, so it ultimately couldn't be him.
So if it was Gilgamesh, clearly I would have to take the vote. But doing so would have made certain idiots like Wei Wuxian to intervene--it was a dreadful thought...
It probably sounds idiotic now when I say it, but while others are stronger than I am, I do know how to deal damage in that sort of fashion. If you were still under the influence or if I had somehow talked you into taking more... that sort of thing wouldn't have been farfetched or difficult to sell.
However... as I said, the evidence started to point in another, much more sad direction.

[He takes Dazai's logic in- it's sound. The trial could have gone... much worse]
Don't give me too much credit though. I fought, yeah. But... I had the shot on him. Twice. I just couldn't... I couldn't do it. I even wasted time with a warning shot.
[In the end he just didn't have the LV for it]
That thing... it laughed at me. I've never heard something like that before. Never.
no subject
... but it also laughed at us just before the reset.

For a thief I'm not very hardened, you know.
[he thinks of the laugh and shivers]
Did it sound like... like it was squeezing someone's lungs like a squeaking toy instead of something natural?
no subject
[ex-mafia executive knows how these jobs work.]
... it sounded more like a gust of air? Not really a squeak toy.

Scariest shit I've ever heard.
no subject
It was certainly unnerving... but it makes sense, doesn't it?
It was compressing the lungs of the person it's using as its puppet without knowing how a laugh actually works. A mimicry of humanity, right?
[this smile from someone who is very familiar with mimicking behavior]
no subject
... I doubt that's the case but I hope it was a little fucked up because of the weed.
[Grin. There's some of the normal Ren back]

It's possible! But it does give us a good clue of what kind of behavior to look for in the future.

Just be ready- they barely felt any pain at all. That hit should have doubled them over but they barely flinched.
[But he raises a finger to his lips]
But it DID flinch. A little.
no subject
... either way, that would have to have been a harder hit for sure...

[Now that his gun is put back together:]
Is that a hint to be productive?
