[Saturday dawns, bright and early again - and Undyne comes to the inn, flanked by the Royal Guard...all of the Dogs in the area, in their armor or uniforms.

You all only have enough time to get ready - wash yourselves, put on your masks and clothing - before you're ushered out, guarded so heavily that it's clear they expect trouble. Monsters on the way watch you warily, whispering and looking shocked.

It's clear they no longer have such kind thoughts of you, after what happened.

You're all lead out past Snowdin and Waterfall, into an area that's hot, and the glow of subterranian lava lights the area. Then, past a large hotel...into an area that looks metallic, where some kind of whitish, rainbow-gleaming liquid can be seen below.

You know where this is.

In this area, you are led to a wider platform that is still open to the liquid before, with the handrails in place - where there are some seats around, and a familiar face waiting to speak with you.

This...for all of you, it is a familiar sight.

It is a trial location.

You are here to find the killer...and convict one of your own, in a murder that makes no sense.

But you have no choice.

You can only forge ahead....and try to find out the truth.]

[In front of you all, before a very clear throne...is the Monster you all first saw. But, instead of the kind, motherly monster you originally met...there is nothing but a queen, staring down impassively at all you, a crown on her head and her robes very clearly made from higher quality materials.

When she speaks, it's with all the bearing and aloofness of a ruler - at those she would call her subjects.]

You have been gathered here today for the murder of a Monster who came here with all of you.

...We are a kind and peaceful folk. Accidents have occurred, but for over 1000 years, we have not had a murder of our own kind among us....until now. Not until your arrival.

Monsters from the surface. I choose to believe that not all of you are such cruel, callous killers - and so, I am giving you the chance to find the killer among you, and bring them to justice. You will vote on who you believe it is, [Gesturing to the papers, pens, and box set on the table] and then we will imprison them for their crimes.

If a murder occurs after this, we will not be so lenient. We are giving you a chance to atone - an act of MERCY. You will have six hours to discuss among you and find the killer, and if one is not found, then we will imprison all of you.

PATH TO THE PATH UNDER THE WATERFALL

Dazai-san and I investigated the path leading to the path under the waterfall. We found two sets of footsteps heading towards the path under the waterfall, but only one returned. The one that did not return appears to be Ren-san's. The other set of footprints was bigger than Ren-san's, and appears to be that of an adult, roughly the same height as Dazai-san.

In addition, we found a bullet inside one of the walls, which appears to have been fired from Ren-san's gun.

I was one of the two that found Ren Amamiya's body in the mud and the one that investigated the body.

[ at least solomon today seems focused, if not a little solemn. ]

Ren was found at the path under the Waterfall, face down on the mud. Checking his body showed that he had fractures in the following places: his right wrist, left forearm, left knee, which was broken from the back. And, lastly, his cause of death is from a severed spinal cord-- in other words, our killer snapped his neck.

[ he takes a moment to gather himself again, and then he continues. ]

I observed that he had a hand-shaped bruise on his broken wrist and this bruise was about the size of an adult hand. I also observed a bruise on his right knee, like he had struck something hard-- but not hard enough to break.

As for his belongings, I only found a knife, still in its holster..

Ah, right, Solomon and I found Ren. The mud around him looked like there was a fight. Like Ren fell and didn't get back up, if ya can picture it.

He had his gun nearby, too. One'a the bullets was missin'.

It appears that our killer may have been injured. I believe it's time for us to see whether that was the case.

Before everyone gets their clothes back on, we should take a look at the clothing and shoes of every person in the size range.

[ He just has robes, foundation uniform, and then his inner robes. He has boots and the ones he wears with his robes. ]

[he mostly just has his usual trench coat outfit, his standard field agent outfit, and whatever pjs he would wear...

in fact, real uncomfortable about having to give up his coat, but that's mostly because of the old matchbox, the origami crab, and his notebook which he is removing from the pocket first. he has a stiletto switchblade and his standard issued gun with him.]

[Aside from his usual coat and long-sleeve shirt/vest/pants combo, he has the clothing he wore on the hike - a lightweight windbreaker, an incredibly gaudy t-shirt, jeans, and hiking boots.

He also holds out his leather gloves and cane for inspection]

[All of the shoes for the outfits worn to the trial have some dirt and mud on them, just from walking all the way to the core. Besides that, four of the outfits have remnants of mud and dirt on them: Dazai, Sherlock, Gil, and Gio.

No blood is on any of the clothing.]

[Okay since the results of the clothes are right there, Inaba's just going to yoink them and try and smell for gunpowder or remnants of blood or even soap, this is stupid and she expects nothing but guess we're being thorough today.]

[The cops are sniffing too, just because Drew is really good at picking through smells (thanks space pheromones) even if he's limited by Chuuta's human senses.]

[The votes are counted - and Toriel, looking as stern as she has, proclaims the verdict.]

...Then, Sherlock Holmes is the culprit, as voted by all of you.

[The Monsters around make a fuss - Mostly in shock that a dog Monster, of all things, could do such a horrible thing - before a side glance from Toriel quiets them down.]

Among the votes was many a plea for MERCY...one that we will be giving. Unlike those among the surface, we will not execute even a Murderer. However, he will most likely never be coming out of that cell again.

[She nods to Undyne, and then to Gilgamesh.]

...Captain of the guard, and the Monster who volunteered to help. Please, take him away.
