[Saturday dawns, bright and early again - and Undyne comes to the inn, flanked by the Royal Guard...all of the Dogs in the area, in their armor or uniforms.

You all only have enough time to get ready - wash yourselves, put on your masks and clothing - before you're ushered out, guarded so heavily that it's clear they expect trouble. Monsters on the way watch you warily, whispering and looking shocked.

It's clear they no longer have such kind thoughts of you, after what happened.

You're all lead out past Snowdin and Waterfall, into an area that's hot, and the glow of subterranian lava lights the area. Then, past a large hotel...into an area that looks metallic, where some kind of whitish, rainbow-gleaming liquid can be seen below.

You know where this is.

In this area, you are led to a wider platform that is still open to the liquid before, with the handrails in place - where there are some seats around, and a familiar face waiting to speak with you.

This...for all of you, it is a familiar sight.

It is a trial location.

You are here to find the killer...and convict one of your own, in a murder that makes no sense.

But you have no choice.

You can only forge ahead....and try to find out the truth.]

[In front of you all, before a very clear throne...is the Monster you all first saw. But, instead of the kind, motherly monster you originally met...there is nothing but a queen, staring down impassively at all you, a crown on her head and her robes very clearly made from higher quality materials.

When she speaks, it's with all the bearing and aloofness of a ruler - at those she would call her subjects.]

You have been gathered here today for the murder of a Monster who came here with all of you.

...We are a kind and peaceful folk. Accidents have occurred, but for over 1000 years, we have not had a murder of our own kind among us....until now. Not until your arrival.

Monsters from the surface. I choose to believe that not all of you are such cruel, callous killers - and so, I am giving you the chance to find the killer among you, and bring them to justice. You will vote on who you believe it is, [Gesturing to the papers, pens, and box set on the table] and then we will imprison them for their crimes.

If a murder occurs after this, we will not be so lenient. We are giving you a chance to atone - an act of MERCY. You will have six hours to discuss among you and find the killer, and if one is not found, then we will imprison all of you.

[she didn't like hearing it last week, and the repetition has not improved matters, this time she snaps back at her:]

Really?? Well, some of us aren't too thrilled with you either!

[She appreciates the double confirmation as she dips her head in a nod for understanding.]

[ ...you know what? He probably got a drink from somewhere (probably grillby's at some point before everything went to shit), and he's having it right now, watching this closely. ]

PATH TO THE PATH UNDER THE WATERFALL

Dazai-san and I investigated the path leading to the path under the waterfall. We found two sets of footsteps heading towards the path under the waterfall, but only one returned. The one that did not return appears to be Ren-san's. The other set of footprints was bigger than Ren-san's, and appears to be that of an adult, roughly the same height as Dazai-san.

In addition, we found a bullet inside one of the walls, which appears to have been fired from Ren-san's gun.

I was one of the two that found Ren Amamiya's body in the mud and the one that investigated the body.

[ at least solomon today seems focused, if not a little solemn. ]

Ren was found at the path under the Waterfall, face down on the mud. Checking his body showed that he had fractures in the following places: his right wrist, left forearm, left knee, which was broken from the back. And, lastly, his cause of death is from a severed spinal cord-- in other words, our killer snapped his neck.

[ he takes a moment to gather himself again, and then he continues. ]

I observed that he had a hand-shaped bruise on his broken wrist and this bruise was about the size of an adult hand. I also observed a bruise on his right knee, like he had struck something hard-- but not hard enough to break.

As for his belongings, I only found a knife, still in its holster..

This suggests our killer is Either strong or skilled in close combat or both...

Did the footsteps that came back disappear after some point? Or did they go all the way back to the inn?

Indeed, this place seems rather... Dangerous, to be used as a trial location. Even if there are railings, accidents can still happen, after all.

That means we should be looking at some of the taller guys... but if a bullet was shot from Ren's gun, I wonder if someone sustained some injuries.

Will we have to do a strip search...?

Ah, right, Solomon and I found Ren. The mud around him looked like there was a fight. Like Ren fell and didn't get back up, if ya can picture it.

He had his gun nearby, too. One'a the bullets was missin'.

The bullet was high up. It's likely it was either a warning shot or a wild missed shot...

But injuries are possible.
