RECORDING 13: THE FIFTH WEEK.

A fifth week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. It's practically routine at this point, isn't it?

Routine, also is the feeling when you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has gotten even thicker. Now everyone is at level 4 - barring the two 'lucky' negators among you, you are all suffering the effects, your eyes flashing a deep, dark purple when experiencing negative emotion.

Any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time, just like last week. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in a few hours it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also give off miasma, and healing is still reduced to even the most powerful of spells only healing minor injuries.

You will not be able to save a grievously injured person from death through spells anymore.

The Temperature has taken another dip. It's now in the 50's, and nippy to need a layer or two. As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.

Let's go with big ass salad bowl so they are laughing alone with wine salad.

Would wine count as a salad if they mix in some weird canned fruit in there later? ]

Let's grab a few more bottles to compare. They probably won't poison all of them, right?

[ Thee won't be anything spider themed or named. Most of them seem to be from France or California, and all of them are from 1920 and earlier.

Wei Wuxian is going to be less picky about inspecting bottles, and just pulling a few bottles from random places in on the wine shelf. ]

That should do it. Find anything unusual?

[She picks out a couple of the ones with California labels.]

Nothing so far. I feel like if they did a trap in here, it would be a surprise miasma bottle but... it would feel lighter, right?

[ Lifting up a bottle to check it in the light before nodding towards the door. ]

Maybe I should have worked on an immunity to poison.

...If I wasn't staunchly believing Sissel was free and clear of this place, I, um. I'd really wish he were here, right about now.

I feel you on that. I am hoping he's much safer where ever he is.

If it passes this test, we can always try just a tiny taste of it first.

It's a bit of a shame we have to waste some of it to be sure.

I'd be concerned if we drank all of this. We'd get poisoned no matter how benign it was.

[ And time to find a bottle opener to start opening each of the bottles. He'll hand each one over to Yachi to pour into a bowl one at a time. ]

[She pours each out, and labels them all with cautionary stick notes.]

Let's see... How many spoons do we have, do you think?

We have a few in here. If we run out, we can use the measuring spoons instead. Or get more from the dining room.

[ Time to search the drawers until he finds some. Placing them down by the bowls. ]

Are you planning on trying a taste?

I'll take the half on the left, you take the ones on the right?
