RECORDING 11: THE FOURTH MURDER.

A fourth week, and this is now definitely routine. Waking on friday, with the knowledge deep down that your number has yet again decreased.
You must still pull yourself from your bed, and discover who is now forever gone.
...But, wait.
What's that smell...?
((OOC: 2 people max under a heading, please! Just to keep things easy on the mods. You can switch out with someone else during an investigation if needed.))

...So now everyone's secrets are going to be out there, huh?
[He should care. He should be sad about Sakaguchi, if just for the chaos and fear this is going to bring.
....But he's comfortably numb, and he doesn't want to go back.]
That's what everyone's going to focus on - not getting out of here.
no subject
People will be people, as always.
[some of them are focusing on the right thing, anyway]
no subject
...Isn't that the truth.
[...]
And that's not discounting that they could decide to pardon Sakaguchi-san's killer, and vote out someone innocent. Right? For the motive.

[thoroughly expecting an attempt at being scapegoated, lbr]
no subject
[The thought should give him a horrible feeling.
But it doesn't.
It doesn't.]

In the meantime, I'm going to go to my friend.
[and will have to probably be dragged away later but whatever]
Oh, and Battler?
Avoid whiskey for a while.
[fyi]
no subject
[He's silent for a moment, before -]
...Dazai-san?
...For what it's worth, I'm sorry you lost Sakaguchi-san. Take it easy.
[But he doesn't offer to go.
He doesn't offer to be there.
He can't. Not right now.]
no subject
[Watching from the side: how hungover is he?]
no subject
...Do you need me for anything, Aunt Rosa?
no subject
[She writes:
"Do I need to say I'm worried about you, Battler-kun?"]
no subject
[He is the farthest from fine both physically and mentally.]
My head feels like it's going to split in half, but I don't want to sleep anymore, so...here I am.
[Unfortunately awake.]
no subject
[She writes out:
"If this were a normal time, I'd tell you to go eat the heaviest meal you can, but you might just have to tough it up at this point."
She wasn't about to suggest the hair-of-the-dog cure.
"If you need someone... I'm here. All right?"
It was a small price to pay for having a sober Battler at the trial.]
no subject
[But what if he WANTS to drink absinthe and scream about beatrice at the ceiling???]
But...I don't need anything. I'll be alright by myself.
[Even if he looks absolutely miserable, hungover, and basically lost all hope.
He'll be fine. It's all just the endgame, right? He just has to keep not caring, and nothing'll hurt anymore.
....right...?]
no subject
[She writes:
"Battler, did you save that piece of paper?"]
no subject
[He...takes a breath, because...
...Of course he did. He's not heartless, even if he doesn't - isn't trying to care -
...His head hurts.]
I wouldn't lose it, Aunt Rosa.
no subject
[She writes further:
"I want you to know: everyone else would sign it the exact way I did.
Everyone. Even the servants.
...Maybe not Gohda-san, but I know you were close with the others."]
no subject
...Yeah. Thank you.
I'm...going to go - see if a shower helps my head. I'll see you later, okay?
no subject
"One last thing...
When you talked about all those games, and how everyone dies...
Weren't you forgetting someone?"]
no subject
[That...actually gets him to blink.]
...What do you mean?
no subject
"You said no matter what, everyone on the island dies...
...You never talked about Ange-chan."]

On the other hand, it also means that once we reach Monday, there is no longer a need or purpose for secrets.
We are approaching the end, for better or worse.
