[On Saturday, Marona simply goes back to room 2 and stays there for the night. The plush toy Nanaka left for her ends up next to the flowers that Haku had asked her to grow, and she stares at the little display from her bunk for the rest of the night, lost in her own thoughts.

On Sunday she can be found in the library, trying to see if there's any books that are not only undamaged, but worth salvaging. ...Unfortunately, she's not much of a reader anyway, so this is a largely pointless endeavor that she clearly isn't putting much heart into.]

Not really. In the end, Sherlock always says the answer with a flair that only a Great Detective like him would have.

But there is some fun in it, I suppose. In trying to solve them.

I never asked about them before, and I feel like I should have. [ His voice wafts down from the top bunk, where he's been sitting cross legged in his own thought bubble for a while now. ]

...I'm not sure how he chose them. But he asked me to grow them with my magic before the rooms switched.

They're beautiful, which this place sorely lacks. [ A sigh. ]

[And her voice seems to go just a little bit quieter at that.]

...I'll miss him. As he was before.

[Who knows how he's going to return, really. She's kind of scared to see.]

Yeah, I...he reminded me a bit of someone who I can't see anymore. I'm not sure if being able to see him again will be better. [ His voice is quiet too, heavy and pensive. ]

It probably won't. If he wasn't around... at least he could be at peace.

[She steps closer, taking out her notepad to write a message and then flip it to her:

"Hello Marona. I don't think I thanked you properly for saving my life."]

[Taking a moment to read that and:]

You're welcome. I'm sorry my magic wasn't strong enough to do more.

[She shrugs. Then writes:

"You're forgiven. Anyway, I want to do something to repay you.

How would you like a new outfit?"]

[...? Whatever she was expecting this conversation to be, it certainly wasn't that, and she pauses in a brief moment of confusion.]

I wouldn't say no, but I'm not very knowledgeable about fashion.

[Unless Rosa has something in mind already, she's of no help there.]

[I'm going to assume the Room 2 door is open because Subete does not in fact have X-ray vision nor the ability to phase through doors and I have too many library prompts already, so this is me busting my way into the Room 2 prompt in a very sudden manner.

Granted, they're neighbors anyway -- so it's not at all unusual for him to pass by the room or to be passingly familiar with both its layout and inhabitants. It does take a few passes of him shuffling books or like canned food or whatever else around; or maybe just moving for the sake of moving in a very still house this fine Saturday -- but eventually he pauses and peers in.]

Oh, right. I think most of the plants were moved out to places with windows, but you'd be able to keep those around, wouldn't you? Not a bad idea for brightening up the place.

[There's a curious lilt to it, because it's a curious little display, but he's fine sticking with the casual remark, too. If Marona would like to continue imitating the plush toy on her own time she totally can!!!]

[Is he going to approach, sort of? He's actually just going to wall-lean a little to the side of the display because he's absurd like that. But hey, at least he's not talking to the top of Marona's head or her back or something. This is almost like a real conversation.

There's a few beats of silence as he considers the flowery arrangement from up close.]

So what is this, a memorial, then?

I'm not sure about fancy, but... he took good care of them.

I wonder if it's wise to use limited magic resources on them? I was told it should take some time for things to grow or flower in this environment.

[An idle question, a rhetorical statement... All things considered, he's not judging, precisely -- but he is curious in his own way. And by his own way I mean he's being like, lowkey terrible but at least it's lowkey.

Or maybe he's just roundabout asking whether they're hella poisonous, you never know.]

Too bad there just doesn't seem to be a way to pacify or exorcise ghosts, though, hmm?

The only time I used magic on them was to grow them from seedlings. He's been taking care of them normally since.
