WEEK 2 - TRIAL

TRIAL

The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....glory? It's hard to tell.

The doors close, and he speaks up, this time reclining on one of the couches in the room.

"You know the drill - Since one of you have died during the game, it's your responsibility to try and vote someone out. You have six hours to talk about it, but then-"

He taps on a box on the coffee table in front of him, labeled 'VOTES'.

"-you'll have to put in your vote so someone can be punished. You all saw what happens when you refuse to play, right?"

He leans back, placing his hands behind his head.

"So get to it."

As he says that, music begins to play in the room...

His answer was "because it popped through a wall." But we've been aware of the presence of ghosts nearly from the start.

That's not shocking, even for me. And others can confirm my weakness is ghosts.

I can confirm, I've seen Makoto's reaction to what she assumed to be a ghost.

Once she clung to my leg for five minutes because she thought one of our other friends was a ghost wandering a dark hallway.

No. I just continued until I fell asleep on the keyboard.

Do you know what time it was when you fell asleep?

[Obviously he could be lying, but...it seems...worth...asking]

I think...whenever the place made us fall asleep. I'm usually good at not sleeping on the computer.

Slightly off topic question--how good are your cooking skills?

Uhm, I've lived in a dorm most of my life so I usually just eat easy to make meals and stuff. Pasta or rice or maybe some instant noodles?

[Hmmm. Ripley scratches her chin.]

Just pasta and rice? Nothing involving cutting vegetables or meat or...anything?

I mean, the dorm rooms in the Clock Tower aren't all that big, ahaha~. If you want a full meal you probably have to get take out or something like that. [ a pause ] But London has a lot of restaurants, so that's no problem! There's probably still some pizza places I haven't visited.

[Glances towards Makoto.]

In that case, unless Flat is lying, I don't think he would have the knife skills needed to...do that to Yoshi.

There are strange inconsistencies in his logic everywhere.

Besides-- it's very possible someone is lying. No one confessed to being part spider last week... so we could all be hiding our abilities to some degree.

[ flat's shoulders slump. he's a bit more relaxed but...not exactly happy either. obviously this took a lot out of him, and that's saying something.]

...It's entirely possible he could know how to use a knife for things other than cooking, you know. He is a mage.
