RECORDING 8: THE THIRD MURDER.

A third week, and this is beginning to become routine. Waking on friday, with the knowledge deep down that your number has yet again decreased.

But you must still pull yourself from your bed, and discover who is now forever gone...

As you all rise and look towards a new day, the Miasma laps at your heels...

...And around whatever corpse now lingers in the hallways...

He'll carefully lift Haku up a bit (...definitely going to come back to that throat wound in a moment, why do those keep happening this week) so he can remove the top of whatever he was wearing for a better look at the injury to his back.

Is there anything more to glean here besides spherical and large (how large, btw)? ]

[It's about the size of mace or decently sized rock. Looks painful, honestly.]

Haku's time of death is about 2-3 hours ago, and his body is cold (room temperature cold) to the touch.]

[ Okay. Carefully turning him over to examine the throat wound then. Does it look like it was done by a blade? A claw? ]

[Definitely done by a blade specifically a shorter one. However, it doesn't seem expert - it wouldn't have immediately killed him.]

[ So it looks like he died from bleeding out more gradually? Was it clear if the blunt force injury was pre or post-mortem?

Are there any other visible bruises or other notable marks or anything on the neck/face/chest? (is he still pretty) ]

[The blunt force injury was definitely pre-mortem,, due to the way the bruises set up.

The neck cut was still deep enough to kill quickly, but not instantaneously.

As for his front, there are a few minor bruises, all pre-mortem. There's no particular pattern to them, either.]

Are there any defensive wounds, anything under his nails?

...and while we're looking for signs of a struggle, is there any notable water or anything in this area? ]

[Generally all around - kind of like he was hit with a bunch of things, but not enough to make him stagger.

There's no defensive wounds or anything under his nails, and also no water in the area around his body.

It feels like you've gotten all you can without an autopsy...]

[She just... wants to compare the damage done to the throat to that done to the furniture. Both were done by a blade, but they were different types of blade, correct?]

There was some damage done to the furniture by a large sword being used in whatever fight happened here. I want to verify whether or not the damage to the throat was done by a similar weapon. Judging by the description of the wound, I do not think they were, but I thought I should verify.

It looks like a pretty small blade was used here, yes, and a blunt object on his back. I don't know where a large sword would have come into play... I don't think that was something he used himself, was it?

I do not believe he did, but I cannot guarantee it. Either way, there is evidence of a large sword being used in the fight, but no sign of it actually hitting anyone.

We also have signs of something heavy being thrown multiple times, as well as what appear to be claw marks.

Did you see any smaller objects that could account for some of these bruises?

The first thing that comes to mind is the rubble. The fight did a lot of damage to the floors and walls, including dislodging multiple pieces. I cannot say I have checked the potential size of all the pieces, but if it were something still remaining on the scene, the rubble seems like the best bet.

[Okay, maybe he got past the Zabuza barricade here at some point, but let's check a couple more details just in case.

1. What direction was the throat slit made in (i.e. left to right or right to left)?
2. Can he tell if his throat was slit from the front or the back?

Lastly, let's just x-ray him just in case. Any broken bones or fractures or things just lodged into his body?]

[ Who needs an autopsy when you have an eyetopsy?

1. If he's looking at Haku face to face, he will see the slit is made left to right.
2. He can tell it was made from the front.

As for his X-ray results, he will notice that there's blunt force trauma on his back. There are some broken ribs and a crushed vertebrae. He can tell that the damage was likely enough to paralyze someone from the waist down. ]

But yikes uh. Is the damage bad enough to feel if he actually puts his hand along the spine and ribs?

Also, assuming that people left it there, what shape is Seteth's shield?]

[ The damage is bad enough to feel. It will feel spherical in shape and large.

Seteth's shield looks to be the size of a buckler shield. It looks like someone married a rounded plus sign with a circle and then glued on a lion's head to the front of it. ]

[Fun?! Well, not really but it's good to know how severe the damage was.

Okay I swear this will be the last set of questions!!

1. For Haku's outstretched right hand, how much of it is covered in blood? Is it just the fingertip or palms or does it look like uh... he did some chest diving, to put it lightly (so like, having blood smeared on the back of his hand or whatnot)?
2. Is there anything particular about Seteth's spear or is it a regular ass item that you could find in any medieval armory?]

2. It's his own distinct spear. It's long, and the tip looks pretty pointy. ]
