RECORDING 4: THE SECOND WEEK

A second week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. With first blood - and oil - spilled, it now seems as if it'll only be a matter of time before the worse eventually happens once more. Thankfully, it seems as if the Miasma is content to remain at the same levels it did before, so arguments are unlikely to break out, though tensions are surely high after everything that's already occurred.

Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? Though it appears that the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.

Yet, something feels...wrong. The house feels as if it is laughing at you, when you awake...

...What new horrors await you this week?

I feel like I learn something new about you every time we talk. I'm starting them in seed trays so we can move them to another room at the end of the week.

Well, I'm trying to get a few different types of plants started. What were you hoping for?

Did you find any radish seeds?

I did. Are radishes your favorite vegetable?

[ There's a pause at that. ]

They're just one that reminds me of the past. What about you? What's your favorite?

I really like carrots, they're good cooked or raw or pickled. So what's your favorite?

Hmm. I would have to say peppers. The spicier the better!

[deadanimemom]

You can grow those for yourself, I'm not helping.

[onemolife]

What? A little spice does the body good.

[ When will he meet someone who loves spicy food the way he does ]

Point them out to me and I'll take care of it.

Here you go. [She says, handing him a packet of some kind of pepper.]

If you grow them successfully, I'll eat something with them.

Really? I'm going to hold you to that you know.

[ Here's hoping they both are alive when these things actually grow.

Grabbing the packets and moving to an unused tray of dirt. ]

Peppers take months to grow, and I'm not going to help you grow them faster. [jokes on you they'll be out of here before you can grow your cursed miasma peppers]

[ T-T ]

Aiya! That's cold. How could you betray me like this?

I told you, I hate spicy food. If you want it, you'll have to grow them yourself.

[onemolife]

Hey, maybe I can find someone else who can make them grow faster.

Maybe you can! Good luck!

So heartless. I'm going to perish at this rate.

[ He's going to poke holes into the tray before dropping seeds in. ]

You're not going to die just because you have to wait for peppers.

[onemolife]

I aaaaaam. The food is so bland here. I've been suffering all this time here. You should take pity on me.

[ He's being an over-dramatic butt ]

I'll be suffering if you put spicy peppers in everything.

[onemolife]

I'll limit it to my rations only! I promise.

[ He will need all the peppers to even try to touch on his level of spice ]

Maybe next week. I need to make sure we can grow plants here without anything weird happening. Carrots with miasma would be bad enough, I don't want to think about what hot peppers would be like.

Do you think it could actually change the plants?

[deadanimemom]

Well, the only way I can get the plants to grow quickly is to summon a greenman to help, and that might be affected by the miasma, which could in turn affect the plants. That's part of why I'm planting seeds and not just having the greenman grow plants out of its body.
