RECORDING 4: THE SECOND WEEK

A second week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. With first blood - and oil - spilled, it now seems as if it'll only be a matter of time before the worse eventually happens once more. Thankfully, it seems as if the Miasma is content to remain at the same levels it did before, so arguments are unlikely to break out, though tensions are surely high after everything that's already occurred.

Speaking of which, the temperature remains a consistent comfortable early to mid 70's in the house. It appears at least that you'll be here in comfort..? Though it appears that the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.

Yet, something feels...wrong. The house feels as if it is laughing at you, when you awake...

...What new horrors await you this week?

Maybe next week. I need to make sure we can grow plants here without anything weird happening. Carrots with miasma would be bad enough, I don't want to think about what hot peppers would be like.

Do you think it could actually change the plants?

Well, the only way I can get the plants to grow quickly is to summon a greenman to help, and that might be affected by the miasma, which could in turn affect the plants. That's part of why I'm planting seeds and not just having the greenman grow plants out of its body.

Ah, then you have every reason to be cautious.

What is a greenman anyways?

They're little demons, made out of plants. They're not aggressive, and I work with them a lot so I'm not too worried the miasma will affect them, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

True true. That's why I've been holding off on using any of my cultivation.

Thankfully greenmen are small enough and benign enough that they should be safe, and even if something does go wrong I can exorcise whatever I summon quickly.

How do you think this place would affect your cultivation?

Might not be a bad idea to try it out when no one is around.

My Cultivation uses resentful energy to control the dead and ghosts. This place is actually ideal for it, but it could also back fire on me. I could lose control and summon the miasma in full force.

That sounds a lot like being a Tamer. [not the same as what she does, but she wants to make sure he knows she's not going to be weird about him summoning ghosts and zombies.]

I can understand why you'd want to be careful, that seems like exactly the sort of thing that would backfire here.

If you did lose control, what would we have to do? For Tamers like me, if the Tamer goes unconscious the demons can't stay.
