RECORDING 3: THE FIRST TRIAL

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - glowering at all of you, still missing the arm Dazai shorn from him with his touch.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice...is up to you.

VICTIM: OLYMPIA
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1

WEEK 1 VOTING

[HE JUST. LOOKS AT ALL OF THIS.

And then raises a hand.
}

Forgive me if I'm asking an obvious question here, but how would she have moved the body?

...You're right. Tokiwa-chan's pretty small - no offence, Tokiwa-chan.
ghostricked: (Oh but the cat came back)

[personal profile] ghostricked 2020-04-18 05:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, even with the rug there's no way she could without help or a power.
zweivoltage: (What is this...?)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Using a rug to drag it would reduce the amount of strength needed to carry Olympia, and the Servant room is not far from the tool room.

Of course, the question remains even with the aid of a rug, could she do it?

[It did seem unlikely]

That is what I think as well. Nanaka on her own would not have been strong enough to do it. So either she had someone helping her, or the culprit is someone else.

[personal profile] finalring 2020-04-18 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. Unless she has some sort of ability that gives her super strength, I don't think that she would have been able to carry Olympia.

It would take a lot of effort to drag the body, especially if she was wearing shoes and gloves that were way too big. If she doesn't have superhuman strength, it wouldn't be possible.

It's like you don't have faith in your friend there! If she hunched over and put the weight on her back, with part resting on the floor, you'd be surprised how much weight someone can drag. Even someone small.

She's already admitted to having a regenerative ability she did not claim having before...

[sorry to say but who's to say she didn't lie about other capabilities?

but he does look a bit hesitant because Ango's speaking up]

One ability per person, Dazai-kun. Is it fast healing, or super-strength?

[It's 'one ability per person' in their world, which may not apply in THIS world, but details.]

Ango, we're not in our world.

[he'll be the one to point that out.]
notbymyside: (35)

[personal profile] notbymyside 2020-04-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
We're not, no.

[...]

...I could solve this instantly, you know.

[But, well. The cost of doing that is pretty great, just knowing the state of Olympia's body.]
cw_suicide: (276)

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
... you could.

Though if you do, that person will surely react.

[and you'll be out of commission.]

And I can't guarantee what state I would be in after the fact too. I won't be able to ever forget it, you know.

[He will definitely be out of commission.]

...I feel like I should save 'that', for if there are truly no other options.

[looking around at the mess of the trial...]

It might come to that. Act if you feel it's needed but give me a signal and I'll get someone to you for defense.

[he's trying to make as much noise as possible but it'll be pretty obvious if/when Ango falls over]

I am afraid you are correct. Physical enhancement is also a trait of magical girls. After all, we need to potentially fight monsters, after all. I cannot be certain I could move Olympia, but I do not believe it would be impossible for me.

[Yes, she's just going to keep digging herself deeper.]

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2020-04-18 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[NANAKA-CHAN???]

... is there a reason you don't seem eager to defend yourself?

[personal profile] white_camellia 2020-04-18 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
The fact that I am innocent does not change the fact that I am suspicious. An incorrect assumption that proves my innocence will only muddy things further down the line.

[Yeah, she's. Just like this.]

Thank you for your honesty. Please rest easy, we'll find the guilty party.
