RECORDING 3: THE FIRST TRIAL

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - glowering at all of you, still missing the arm Dazai shorn from him with his touch.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice...is up to you.

VICTIM: OLYMPIA
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1

WEEK 1 VOTING

I don't know what that means!

...

Taboo refinery? What does that mean?
eyeforai: (annoying intrusion)

You a stickler for cleanliness or something?

Ango, we're not in our world.

[he'll be the one to point that out.]

[jiiiiiii]
zweivoltage: (What is this...?)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
That is a good question... there is a laundry room here. They might've laundered their clothes afterward?

Still doesn't explain the cloth.

[NANAKA-CHAN???]

... is there a reason you don't seem eager to defend yourself?

Maybe they cleaned their clothes? It's been a couple of days.

[just, dipping her head while she scowls]

That, or they are wearing different clothes today. Or they washed them.

Exactly! See, even he can get it. Shouldn't someone who's acting as lead in this investigation also get that, Dazai?

Oil doesn't wash off easily with just water either, so even if someone were to wash themselves, they would probably still have the scent on them.
reanimania: (it's a living.)

[personal profile] reanimania 2020-04-18 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
It would, yes. It was difficult enough to move just to examine her.

[ granted he is also EXTREMELY WEAK but ]
tangentlion: (confident lion)

Tell me the truth, foxface. Do you really think I'm that clever?
notbymyside: (35)

[personal profile] notbymyside 2020-04-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
We're not, no.

[...]

...I could solve this instantly, you know.

[But, well. The cost of doing that is pretty great, just knowing the state of Olympia's body.]

[He's not, his fur is almost unpleasant to pet due to it wanting to stand stiff]

...

[If someone else was executed and his suspicions were right, could he live with it? He's not sure. And Olympia... she must deserve better than keeping secrets.]

Sho's boots smell like oil. A lot of oil.

[He's so sorry]

Oil takes a lot of work to get out of clothing. I think we would have noticed if somebody needed to use heavy chemicals...
deadanimemom: (13)

[personal profile] deadanimemom 2020-04-18 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be hard to get oil out in the laundry, but most people here have an extra change of clothes. It wouldn't be suspicious if someone wore a different outfit than they were the day before.

The airplane is easy.

[Battler didn't like vehicles, did he? She remembered Asumu's phobia easily enough.]

'Mystery novels'... does any of it give you any insight to what we're in for?
accessorytomurder: (Default)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
But, oil takes heavy-duty cleaning to get out of clothes. They could have cleaned the gloves, for instance, but they didn't.
eyeforai: (annoying intrusion)

[personal profile] eyeforai 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
What'd you find?
zweivoltage: (a curious boy.)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, true - there is the dressing room.
cw_suicide: (276)

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
... you could.

Though if you do, that person will surely react.

[and you'll be out of commission.]
tangentlion: (A for effort)

[personal profile] tangentlion 2020-04-18 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
In theory.
reanimania: (huh)

[personal profile] reanimania 2020-04-18 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
It's difficult to get oil stains out of clothes, though.

The fact that I am innocent does not change the fact that I am suspicious. An incorrect assumption that proves my innocence will only muddy things further down the line.

[Yeah, she's. Just like this.]
