Week 2 Mingle

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.
The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.
Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

Once you find a way out, then presumably, I will be free from this place as well.

Besides, the devil still owes me 50 years. Once we're free of here, I may get my body back. Maybe.
no subject
The Devil?
no subject
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyes
did i not tell you that little detail yet
no subject
No. Care to explain?
no subject
i was
maybe in hell not long before i woke up here
but it's not as bad as it sounds
no subject
What kind of hell?
no subject
though I spent most of my time in the devil's office, debating the nature of our contract
I got the better end of the deal, of course

[There's something of a smile, a brief flash of fondness.]
Wouldn't be the first time I've heard about that kind of thing.
...Guess it's not just a rumor for you.
no subject
you have some experience with this sort of thing?
But yes, I
sort of sold my soul over a decade ago
But I wrote that soul contract myself and I knew every loophole I put into it :)

I wouldn't call it experience...just heard a lot of talk about my former mentor. Some thought the title 'Hell Master' wasn't just earned for being tough.
[Though, with new meaning to the word 'former', there's some melancholy with that fondness.]
Sounds like you got the better end of the deal. Didn't think it was possible.

Interesting... Do you think the rumors were true for him?
It's a mistake to make a deal with the devil without a few failsafes and backup plans. I'm surprised more people don't keep that in mind.

After a moment, he comes to his conclusion, not all too different from what he'd originally believed.]
No. I don't believe in a heaven or hell. Both those things exist on Earth.

I don't think he would've been the type, either.
