Week 2 Mingle

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.
The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.
Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[ He literally doesn't even believe it would, but he could be wrong. And he's trying to keep an open mind. ]
We also really need a plan of action, just for the future.

[ She's never been good at doing that. Whoops ]

[ He was just checking if anyone else had, but figured that it might not be the case. ]

Actually... if we keep notes, we might want to make sure the staff doesn't take them away even if someone dies. They didn't let Ellie and I keep Szayel's safe...
[And notes are kind of pointless if they die with you.]
no subject
[If they try to leave them somewhere public, the monsters could just take them, right?]

[...wtf is he even talking about, like... this is all tactically sound, but realizing that he's talking about people just casually dying makes him frown suddenly.
Urgh...]

[Yoshi on the other hand keeps talking as blithely as ever.]
I'll try to write down all my notes today!
no subject
... Yeah. That's a good idea.

-Or something?

[ How did it turn out to be this depressing? This wasn't his intention, but at the same time...it was an important thing to consider. ]

[...]
Or, like you said, leave something that gives permission to keep or go through our stuff...
[It’s kind of like a last will and testament, though. Gives her the heebie-jeebies...]

[He continues to be completely unbothered discussing this.]
no subject
[But a super morbid one.]

With that said, I'm pretty certain there's a lot I've missed, so I wouldn't mind working together to consolidate something more comprehensive.

I remember a lot of things, but not everything, so it really could be good to compare notes. I could write some of the stuff down now and pass it to you?
no subject
[Hmm.]
If this is going to turn into an information sharing session, would you mind if we took it somewhere private? I'm not saying we shouldn't present it all publicly eventually, but... I have a bit of my own speculation in here, and I'd rather not pass it around carelessly.
no subject
[ Not at all in the slightest... ]
I think I can guess why you wouldn't want to do that, anyway.
[ Or at least he thinks so, anyway. ]
no subject
Thanks. I can tell you more about my reasons elsewhere if you want, but for now, I'll leave it as is.

[ It's been awhile in the group meeting, but also happened to recall a thing that happened this week. So, great chance to segue for a topic change! ]
... I just remembered something. Earlier in the week, I did a little bit of looking around in the third floor and found something a bit weird about it. It isn't much, but it looked like the suite had signs of someone living in it, and I found this too.
[ He reaches into his pocket and produces a simple pink ribbon barrette. ]
no subject
You think it might belong to the lady in charge? I mean... I can't imagine the Captain of all people wearing that.
no subject
I don't know, I think he could rock it if he weren't such a jerk.
[ Anyway... ]
But really, I was thinking it might, especially if she's the one who lives in that suite. It'd make sense she'd get a fancy looking place too, since she's high up.

[Although the moment that comes out of his mouth, his expression falls a bit before he seems to shake it off.]
Yeah, I agree. But you were able to get in there without an invitation, right? It's kind of weird to leave your door open for anyone to come in and snoop around.
no subject
[ And then they didn't because the trial is a foregone conclusion but shh. ]
...Now that I think about it, it is. I'm sure whoever is in there had this at least, so it was probably some kind of lady who's probably high-ranking. If it's not the Lady herself, it could always be someone else we haven't met yet.
