WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

By the way, have you played mafia before? I know Kurusu knows a little bit, but...

I've never played, but the rules make sense to me.

... Have you?

When I was in middle school, a little bit. Not heavily, though.

[justfists]

It seems like it'd be a fun game with friends...

Not... this.

What were your friends like in Japan?

[she's nosy]

I didn't really play it with my friends... But yeah. It was.

My friends were kind of all over the place. One of them liked cute things a lot, and another was a bit of an idiot...no, two of them are idiots, although one of them is a selfless dumbass that puts himself into danger. And one of them is really high energy... I kind of don't know how to deal with her sometimes. They're all good people, though.

[justfists]

It sounds like they kept your life busy, though. I'm a little jealous.

[the phantom thieves are a new thing in Makoto's life. She went friendless for so long...]

But... I think we both know someone who is a selfless dumbass.

[dereban]

They did.

[ It's okay, Makoto, Inaba's only been friends with them for half a semester and had no friends prior to them, so. ]

But you shouldn't be jealous... I really haven't known them that long. Also, yeah. There's way too many of them here.

[justfists]

Imagine one of them being your leader.

[she'll drag Akira at least a little bit.]

[dereban]

That sounds. . . bad? I hope you're trying to keep him in line.

[justfists]

As... much as I can?

It's hard to say how much I could do in the first place.

I can only keep him from doing the most reckless option.

[dereban]

He's the type that does what he wants, huh. He's not a bad person, he's just.

[ waves hands ] Like... that.

[justfists]

Like that.

We all are, at least a little bit.

[dereban]

I mean, a bunch of us are teenagers. Although I honestly can't say the adults are any better.

[justfists]

[honestly, she's not impressed with the adults.

so she just taps a finger to her lips.]

... Really.

[dereban]

Have you seen how ridiculous most of the adults are?

[justfists]

I'm mostly being facetious.

[she does feel a little bad for dragging the adults so hard, but honestly... they deserve it.]
