WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[Oh, Akira.

The pressure of the hug abates, and there's a message.]

I'm right in front of you, you know? Just reach your arms out.

[purrtagonist]

[. . . yeah, okay]

[pitches forward then, doing his best to wine his arms around Appy's waist and pull him close]

[Yeah, thanks - he also wraps his arms around, holding tightly - and it feels like he's shaking a little, even.]

[He can still type out that, but then after that - there's a moment where he just clings.

He'll be fine in a bit. He just....needs a minute.]

[ah. . . he feels that. he definitely feels that. and, perhaps, some part of Akira hadn't realized how much he had needed this until this very moment, too]

[he says nothing. but he leans into the embrace, allowing Appy to guide the hug since uh. . . he still can't really see. he can only react to the vaguely tangible yet still invisible form in front of him]

[After a moment - and some more trembling - he lifts away, and there's another message quickly coming.]

It, uh - was part of a dare.

But - thank you for hugging me back.

[huffs a laugh, tugging at his bangs]

You don't need a dare to hug me, you know.

I thought I was giving you your space. Fine, from now on - I'll hug you every time I see you.

[A faint laugh.]

[another laugh on Akira's end, too]

Ooooh, how charming. I'm looking forward to it.
