WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

Poolside

[Is Atsushi going swimming?

No. No he is not.

In fact, he's not wearing a swimsuit at all. He's lounging in one of the chairs around the pool wearing a full set of clothing, including the hoodie he's been wearing this entire time. But he also is wearing a pair of sunglasses which are totally rad and make him Poolside Ready.

Is he asleep? Is he awake? WHO KNOWS. But he's lounging there like this is completely normal behavior.]


[And if the pool isn't your thing, Atsushi can be found just outside the door, building a snowman right in front of the windows by the Jacuzzi. In fact, it's placed in such a way that anyone viewing it from the Jacuzzi room will get quite the view.

Atsushi is snickering as he does this, too.]

. . . what are you doing?

[ That sure is a snowman, but also. What's so funny? ]

[moonlightbeast]

Inaba-san, come look at it from this side.

[The side with the 2spoopy face, he means.]

[dereban]

Oookay?

[ She will attempt to look at it from the other side and just cants her head in confusion. Inaba does not get it. ]

[When he sees that she doesn't get it, he will supply some information.]

It's a scary snowman! If someone looks at it from the Jacuzzi, they'll be scared by it.

[dereban]

... Are you trying to scare the thing that tends to use the jacuzzi?

[ Is.

Is this really a good idea. ]

I was more hoping to scare one of the adults.

[Since adults use hot tubs right???]

[dereban]

. . . why?

[ This is a question of "why specifically the adults" ]

[Because scaring people is fun???]

I didn't know you had such a hobby, Atsushi.

[moonlightbeast]

Ah, well...It's not really a hobby, I just thought I would try it?

[dereban]

Huh.

I mean, I'm still kind of surprised. But I really hope that we don't end up scaring the jacuzzi monster. I don't want to get into trouble because of it.

[moonlightbeast]

Well...it's not against the rules to scare someone?

I. . . suppose that's true? How long do you think it's gonna take until someone shows up?

A-atsushi-kun! Your snowman... it looks like the beginnings of a Snow Godzilla!

[The bumpy face of the snow man looks like a snout to her to be honest. It's interesting to her either way.]

[moonlightbeast]

Ah, he does, doesn't he?

[He's trying to make a scary snowman, so it works.]

Yeah, it sounds fun.

[There's a hum as Tsumugi eyes the snowman critically.]

What are we going for? Snow Godzilla? Or... something else?

Something spooky, honestly. I wanted to see if it would scare someone in the Jacuzzi.

Hmmm.... Oh! We could make it look like it ate someone with a pair of pants and socks stuffed and sticking out of it's mouth... or... maybe a reaper? I bet I could make a simple cloak quickly. I guess we could also ask The Staff for a few LED, wires, some tape, and batteries to rig up a few simple glowing eyes that should last a bit...

[Tsumugi trails off there. She has ideas, but these seem to be the most plausible right now. She feels kind of childish engaging in this... but... whatever? It's fun so far.]

Umm... do any of those ideas sound good, Atsushi-kun?

[moonlightbeast]

I do like the idea of glowing eyes, let's start there!

[Let him embrace this childishness, he didn't have a childhood.]

Okay, how many will we need?

[A hum and smile as an idea comes to her.]

Oh... if we make eight glowing eyes, we could make a giant snow spider.

[That... might be in poor taste though.]

...we can have more than two?

[The world of creativity is brand new to him.]

Of course. It'd be a bit silly to limit ourselves to a plain snowman if we want to make it scary, right?

[moonlightbeast]

[This is a whole new world of wonder he is being opened up to.]

What about four, then? That should be extra-creepy.

[Because four is death, get it?]

That sounds good to me. It's a good use of symbolism.

[Tsumugi nods to herself in serious thought.]

Do you think we should ask for red ones, or ones that change colors every few seconds? I'm okay with either option.
