WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

Why is this disaster happening in front of him?? At least the guy didn't actually go to drink it. Coming over and just. Taking the glass. ] The balance is off. I suppose I have time to make it myself if you like, I only need a few minutes.

He like, literally could not get sick for a decade he lost all sense of healthcare strategies he's fine.

But oh ok, Gerome is taking a glass now.]

Why would it take you "a few minutes" to put ginger in a glass, exactly?

[ That is the exact opposite of fine. ]

I need to boil water. For tea.

[imstuck]

[It's fine.]

... Right. Tea exists.

[... Ok he's not fine.

Heck now he feels kind of awkward though now...]

I can make it myself, you know.

[He moves over to grab the glass and is overcome with a wave of nausea.]

... Actually can you do it?

[ You are way more of a mess than he expected. ] I will. In the meantime, try to rest.

[ Just gonna go about making tea. It takes a while and nothing interesting is gonna happen on his end. Wanna fast forward to him handing over a mug of some ginger tea? ]

[Your first mistake was assuming that Phil was put together at all in the first place.

But yeah skipping to when Phil finally gets the tea.]

Thanks, I guess.

[His whole body seems to instantly relax. Just having something that wasn't cloyingly sweet is a huge relief for him after the previous night.

After a moment he looks at Gerome, still looking a little hallow-eyed.]

Do you ever get the feeling that this place was designed purposefully to fuck with you?

[ It's a wonder he made the mistake at all. He's been really bad at paying attention to people, apparently.

But okay, he looks back as transparently as a man wearing a dumb mask can. ]

... No, but I expect nothing of any world but cruelty. Fate is kind to no one.

It isn't, but I feel like fate especially has it out for me- us.

[Right he doesn't want to seem too selfish.]

[ No worries, he doesn't mind if people are selfish. Kind of expects it, in fact. ]
