WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

How do you hunt down someone who's right in front of you?

[I'd joke that they've only been sort-of-dating for barely a week and Medic's been dead for most of it, but Medic is probably the kind of person who says "i love you" two days into a relationship once he's sure they're not gonna run screaming from him, so]

He should be deeply concerned about that note and ask if Medic is ok

But instead he glares in the general direction of Medic.]

I'm going to make it so that your birds love me more than they love you.

[Honestly? Medic respects that. Phil can tell by the fact that, yes, this invisible ghost is definitely cackling, though it's faint. If Phil could see Medic, he could tell that his head is in his hands as he tries to get control of himself.

Eventually, another note follows, its handwriting a little shakier than before:]

Physically impossible, my friend. I have a few advantages that you do not.

[Phil is going to freaking take this as a challenge!]

Not if I steal all the birdseed in this resort.

[Furious scribbling onto this stickynote]

Birdseed won't help you. For one, you know nothing about the proper diets and care for pigeons; regular birdseed you would feed to wild birds isn't good enough.

You would need to spend a great deal of time earning their trust, and even then, if you tried to usurp me, my main flock back home would not respect your leadership. And Archimedes certainly wouldn't.

The most fatal flaw in your plan, of course-

[He ran out of room. Slaps that stickynote down and writes on a second one.]

[Phil takes a moment to read this all.]

How the hell do you get two powers while I only have a half a power at best?

[He's pretty sure he briefly mentioned the hell thing at least once but he's also pretty sure Phil didn't really question it, probably assumed it was hyperbole. hah]

[Yeah he def interpreted the hell things as a hyperbole.]

Medic did you sell your soul to talk to birds?

[Medic scribbling down shit as fast as possible before Phil flips the fuck out]

Before you get mad at me

there was a lot going on with that soul contract, just narrowing it down to talking to birds is a bit of a disservice to all the work i put into writing that thing.

look, yes, I MAY have sold my soul to Satan, buuut I also tricked him into giving me another 50 years on earth after I died!

granted, that was two weeks ago, and you can see how that went. really threw a wrench in my plans!

but that's part of why I'm not too concerned about being dead right now. He owes me.
