WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[She's gotten a bit more up to date on mafia matters, but the specifics and stuff like third party roles and whatnot still kind of escape her.]

There's none if you're talking literally.

But figuratively? There are some. Like the Lookout's probably the closest thing to this? You can check it against someone else if you want to.

[She's asking distractedly, looking thoughtful for a moment.]

I'm starting to think I need to run through a basic mafia game a few times to really get it. I wonder if we could get something like that on the tablets, too.

[By 'we' she mostly means Nanashi, but hey, maybe the staff will be accommodating too. Maybe they'll just mobage their way through.]

[She hopes. The tone of the letter kind of varied between mysterious and Akira-levels of #yolo and she really would like to know why they are all Like This.]

It's probably easier than explaining the rules of mafia all the time, right? I'll try asking the staff first.

They would be. . . if the rules of this mafia are the same as the rules of regular mafia. I don't know if we can actually trust it, though. And yeah, go ahead. Maybe we'll get a proper rulebook that's up to date with 2018.
