[As the morning rises on Friday, the house seems...quiet. Not quite eerie in the way that a murder might indicate, but there is a tension in the air. Something has happened overnight, but it's hard to tell exactly what.

To find out what is going on, the contestants will have to explore the area.]

[Damn, booby traps would have been fun?? Okay, time to ransack his desk yet again. Anything new or anything changed since the last time he was here. Can he yeet his Epi-pen again.

I forgot to meta about Dazai being dead and Nora being annoyed about it. Also, sounds fake, isn't him dying some kind of elaborate cult ritual by this point.]

A few things have changed! There is a new letter on Dazai's desk, and there is a newer copy of the letter to Inaba in one drawer. There is also a note taped to a deck of cards in one of the drawers.

Where does Nora want to start?]

[Yeets the Epi-pen in general direction of the ceiling after grumbling about how no one can be trusted in this joint.

ANYWAY why is he always stuck in this fool's paperwork (it's because you still kinda suck at tech, dog), Nora swipes the letter off the desk first to read it because if he can't be annoyed at dead Dazai directly right now he'll just be annoyed at his belongings. It's fine.]

Dazai,

The failure to execute anyone at the game on Wednesday is unacceptable. You have been told that this game needs to end quickly, and you are not following those orders. If there is not a murder by Friday at noon, you must start executing players. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Failure to comply will result in your termination.

[... then goes to pick up the Epi-pen and pocket it, and then peeks at the letter again. Have they seen this handwriting before. Probably not but might as well check anyway. After that he'll just stuff the whole-ass letter in his pocket and go back to rifling. Inaba's letter is next, why does he always have to deal with her mail, this is also stupid.]

[Nora has not seen this specific handwriting before, no! But he is free to pocket the letter and take it with him. It might be useful later.

Inaba's letter is another handwritten letter, and this time Nora will recognize the handwriting right away since he's seen Dazai's handwriting before. ]

Inaba,

I left the information where I said I would. If worse comes to worse, well...don't wait up for me. You guys are more important, you get out first.

Get to to the coast, if you can. TT knows to come looking for you if I stop contacting her. She'll help you.

[Yeah he's going to complain the whole way while he digs into the desk again. Sure, he'll ball up this letter too and stuff it in his increasingly congested pockets.

[I forgot to mention before but the letter also contains a rough map indicating a path through the forest they can use to escape, but "WARNING: WOLVES" is also written on it.

The note taped to the deck of cards simply says this:]

Remember: this is a game show. Everyone is watching. Put on the act you want them to see.

[Oh cool. They can probably compare it to the path through the forest they were discussing before. Also he's going to grumble about the deck of cards and also pocket it, why not. Then he'll sniff around for, idk, clown meat or anything else in the desk that might be interesting or magical.

Or worth yoinking. There's that too.]
