[As the morning rises on Friday, the house seems...quiet. Not quite eerie in the way that a murder might indicate, but there is a tension in the air. Something has happened overnight, but it's hard to tell exactly what.

To find out what is going on, the contestants will have to explore the area.]

GROUP 1

[So the first group to investigate is going to notice something is off immediately. Even before going anywhere, they will notice the smell of blood lingering in the first floor area of the house.]

GROUP 2

[With the news of a dead Dazai in the living room and only some of the clues there, the obvious solution is to investigate further out. Group 2 will be the first ones to get outside, heading out the front door to look from there.

As they near the studio, they will hear the sounds of sniffling coming from the side of the studio building.]

GROUP 3

[It's time to investigate the final place connected to all of this: Dazai's office. Unlike the other two spots, there are no surprise bodies or people waiting for them. It's just straight up clue-finding, thankfully with no booby-traps.

It's time to begin the search.]

[Oh, that's bad. Saki's got her hair tied back with her barrette, and she's hurrying to see if she can find the source of that smell.]

[...That's not good at all. I guess I'm probably the one with the strongest sense of smell around here...]

[The smell of blood is at least easy to follow to the source, since there's a whole lot of it on the floor in the living room. That sure is a deep puddle.

But also, there is a body laying face-down in the puddle of blood.]

[She freezes momentarily, but she'll quickly run to see just who it is. Can she tell from the hair/clothes?]

[Ellie's going along with Saki right now, yes. Though she's more... trying to find the cause of death. This is a whole lot of blood after all.]

It's not hard to tell who it is even when he's face down. Nobody else wears a black suit and bandages the way he does. But flipping him over will definitely confirm what everyone probably already knows.

[Saki's eyes go wide, her hand raising to her mouth. No... No, he can't-

Her vision blurs. She doesn't even have the capacity to realize she's crying.]

So that meant they were going to force him to act on it, then kill him when he tried something? It does explain why he was never listed in the targets, though...]

[ okay while Inaba kind of has some questions about said body, she'll leave that to people that are closer to him, although she might double check on it after. anyway, phone's out, time to take some pictures

are there furniture movements and/or damage? what do we got on first sight? ]

[It takes her a moment to gather herself again, but only a moment. Because there's grief, undeniably so, but there's also fury at whoever did this.

She turns away from the body. The others can handle that better than she can. But are there any other clues she might be able to spot?]

Moving over to the other side to kneel down in the puddle of blood to touch his neck. There's no pulse.
