Week 5, Saturday

[Saturday arrives, and the contestants are welcomed back to the Studio officially at noon. When they arrive, they ill find that the entire place has been rebuilt, and that both the power and the cameras are back on. It took a week, but those prinnies have been working hard.

The studio is ready for them, with the stage having a raised circular platform on it. On that platform are twelve smaller circular platforms, arranged in a semi-circle so that everyone can see everyone and also be seen by the cameras once they are in place. There appear to be no assigned spots, but only one person is able to enter each spot.

Dazai stands there as well, smiling and ushering everyone in.]

Come on in! Pick a platform, and we'll get started.

I hope so too, but it's always good to be prepared. With him getting involved now, I think this might all be out of my hands.

Yeah, I figured things are gonna go to hell in a handbasket--

she swaps to Japanese ]

But even if he's getting involved, we'll manage. He's human too, after all.

That's all we can do at this point.

I'm really relying on all of you, though. I might be put in a position where I can't help anymore.

[dereban]

You did all that you could. We'll handle it from here.

Just have faith in everyone.

[ she looks down a little wistfully, her voice dropping into something smaller so only he can hear her. ]

. . .and maybe I can finally start believing in myself, too.

Well if it can get you to start believing in yourself, then maybe I can have faith in all of you after all.

I'd joke about how there are some people that aren't as reliable, but. . .

[ sometimes they need those kinds of people to balance everything out. ]

Don't tell them I said that, though.

But I've always wanted to change myself. Maybe now's the time. If I can't be proud of myself, if I can't motivate myself. . . then anything that anybody could tell me would be pointless.

So even if you can't do anything, you'll still be there, supporting us. Everyone is there to support each other. I'll be fine. So even if I get knocked down, I'll just get back up and make a comeback! That's just the Inaba Himeko way, after all!

[ she sounds pretty motivated as she even makes a pose with her fist held up high ]

[ she's quiet, just a little for those last few words. ]

[He honestly got tripped up on the Japanese and missed about half of that. But she sounds determined, so he just smiles and gives her a thumbs-up.]

[ let her just. get out a notebook and doing just that in English and folding it over before passing it over to him. it's just a rehash of what she just said since he didn't get it and she doesn't want to say it aloud again. ]
