Week 5, Saturday

[Saturday arrives, and the contestants are welcomed back to the Studio officially at noon. When they arrive, they ill find that the entire place has been rebuilt, and that both the power and the cameras are back on. It took a week, but those prinnies have been working hard.

The studio is ready for them, with the stage having a raised circular platform on it. On that platform are twelve smaller circular platforms, arranged in a semi-circle so that everyone can see everyone and also be seen by the cameras once they are in place. There appear to be no assigned spots, but only one person is able to enter each spot.

Dazai stands there as well, smiling and ushering everyone in.]

Come on in! Pick a platform, and we'll get started.

[Once everyone has picked a spot, Dazai will begin explaining the rules.]

This game is broken up into three segments, with a short break between each segment.

The first segment is called 'trivia'. During this time, I will be asking you all some rapid-fire questions. Anyone can answer, but speed is important: the faster you are, the more points you earn for that question. You can earn up to ten points per question, based on how quickly it is answered.

For each correct answer in a row, you will get to multiply those points by that number. So for example, if you answered three questions correctly and earned 10 points on each, that is 30 points. But since you had three questions right in a row, you multiply that by 3, netting you 90 points.

At the start of each question, someone can call out 'BANK', and the points that you have accumulated will be added to the point bank. Points in the bank cannot be lost, they are yours to keep and spend at the point-spending stages. However, banking your points resets your multiplier, and only points gathered since the last 'bank' or 'failed question' can accumulate up to be multiplied by the next multiplier.

If at any time someone incorrectly answers a question, non-banked points will be lost and your multiplier will be reset. You goal for this segment is to get as many points as possible, because the more points you have, the easier the next two segments will become.

This sounds like it's a great team building game. A lot like Monopoly.

Are you gonna kill off people now, or are you waiting for the next two segments? [Obviously there's death, but when?]

It's The Weakest Link, most likely. . .

Even worse than Monopoly in some ways.

Or Mario Party. We should just play Mario Party.

That comes in segment 3. You have to get through the first two parts first.

[Oh.

Saki makes a face at those words.]

Ugh, do we HAVE to share points... I hate trivia.......

I don't think I want to know what his version of Mario Party would be.

So we lose our accumulated points if we get a question wrong, unless they’re in the bank?
