Week 3, Saturday

This time, when everyone files into the studio, they aren't escorted to their seats. Instead, they are sent to podiums up on the stage arrange in a semi-circle. Everyone can see each other, and everyone is also visible to the cameras. Off to stage right is a jury box with 12 prinnies in it, all in various states of 'fancy dress'. One is wearing a suit top, another a blouse, one a huge Colonial-era wig. To stage left at box 0 is Dazai's seat, where he will be spending most of the trial, but he will get up to move around at times. And in the very center is a picture of Aqua. Once everyone is in their spots, one of the prinnies will hit a gavel against the podium in front of it, signaling the start of the trial.

It's time to find Aqua's killer.

The Frog mentioned it tasting like rain. That makes me pretty certain she's the one who used the ice spell.

[ Rain and storm is kind of her thing? ]

Then it seems likely to me that...

[She hesitates. She really doesn't want to have to say this, especially to Vanitas.]

She was also the one intending to use the weapon.

But she didn’t fight back. If anything, it seemed like she just accepted it all.

And, like the Professor said, you don’t share a drink with just anyone.

It’s a little hard to believe, but... it’s a possibility.

While that is a thought, it's also possible that someone else had the weapon ready.

Potentially the killer, or perhaps an assistant. After all, We've never fully asked the extent of everyone's abilities here, have we?

She isn’t the only one with ice powers it seems. But at this point, I don’t think anyone will come out in the open and admit what they’re capable of.

Not unless it exonerates them of the crime, no.

My own abilities are difficult to describe fully as well...

...Still, after this, maybe we should consider it.

You mean going over what we can all do?

Yes. It's probably good to know for other reasons, too.

Like how we can support each other.

Yeah, it's a good idea so we're all more aware it and can help each other out.

If we intend on keeping each other from murdering, it may be a good idea.

Of course we do!

We prevented it two weeks. We... might have grown complacent.

[And Aqua paid the price for them all.]

Complacency is to be expected...indeed, I believe we were all bracing for another game instead of a trial, and may have missed key details.

[He shakes his head.]

Hopefully, this won't be repeated for the rest of our time here.

I don’t think we can force people that don’t want to say it.

[ there are some that aren’t comfortable with it. ]

But I think we should do that, yeah.

you get plus points in Inaba's book for that first statement... ]

Then what's the point? Someone could just hide the important parts of their power sets, as an ace in the hole if they decide they want to kill someone.

Silver, even if they don't tell us everything, maybe they have other skills that could be helpful for saving people.

Every bit of effort will be worth something. We can’t make everyone say it, but at least we’ll have some information.

It's better to at least try. If anyone does tell us their abilities, it's still more helpful than nothing at all.
