WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

[He makes an aggravated huffing noise and then plops the controller back with her and waves at the screen.]

Ugh, I don't know how canoes work, did you only ever drive canoes???

Fine, it's easier to figure it out if things are movin' and you got to think on your feet!! We're goin'!!

[And he unpauses the game and speeds off, which may not help Saki a ton, but if she spies on what he's actually doing as he goes back to regular laps perhaps that will help. Or perhaps Nora will just drag them through a few more games, because he is nothing if not persistent and easily engrossed in games about chasing cars.]

[Ugh! But okay, back to the game. She does... minimally better once she gets going, but by now, it's far too late for her to really catch up.

She'll gradually improve over the course of several games, but eventually, she'll give up and hand her controller off to someone who would actually have fun.]

Drive? Steer? Same damn difference!!

[Nora still spends way too much time loudly dissing everything on the screen, NPCs and poor Saki when she ends up in his field of vision included, but he also shouts tips sometimes (who knows how helpful they are though??!) and keeps playing to the end, so at least there's that. Is that a good thing. There's a blink when Saki hands off the controller.]

What, you're throwin' in the towel already? You don't wanna win at least once?

[Said like she's just given her firstborn away to Bigfoot or some shit.]

You stopped driving into walls, though? Most of the time? Half the time......

[Nora's so good at this encouragement thing, but also he's puffing up a little like he's getting ready to settle in for an argument so. Why. What did Saki bring up on herself; probably just his inability to settle.]

'Sides, how can you give up so easy?! It took me forever to learn to kick ass at this stupid game just 'cause I wanted to make people bow down to me!!
