WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

[Karen is so pleased to have avoided what was pretty obviously a horrible fate that it takes her a moment to realize she's told at least one person most of her secrets.

And when she finally comes up with an exception, it's something embarrassing. She kind of mutters:]

I used to have a crush on Nozomi Yumehara.

Who's Nozomi Yukihira, anyway.

[At least get the name right. He never bothers to think any of these Truths through because he hates the option anyway, so he always ends up with a bunch of names and descriptions he's got no idea what to do with. You go, Nora.]

Nozomi Yumehara is a friend of mine from home. She's done a lot to help me, and others for that matter.

[Sorry Nora. You can at least take comfort in the fact that Karen's thinking about how it's technically possible Nozomi is seeing this?]

That's what I said! So you just crush on people who help you...

[He looks like he doesn't especially want to make that a question or hear more about Karen's random crushes on people. Does he have regrets. Is it balancing out with the schadenfreude. Who knows, probably both.]
