WEEK 1 MINGLE

As dawn approaches on Monday, the contestants are greeted to a beautiful, sunny day. It's the first full week of their time in the house, and after the rather troubling introduction on Saturday it's hard to know just what to expect

For the first week, the surrounding area seems quiet and peaceful. The weather stays a nice 75 degrees during the day, and it dips down to the 50s at night. Comfortable, and without any real disturbances from nature or house. It's almost as if the whole weekend was just a bad dream, and maybe the actual game won't be as bad as Dazai made it out to me.

However, those rules and profiles are still hanging in the living room, a constant reminder of the warnings that have been given. What will happen now? There haven't been any deaths at this containment site in years, but will that change with these new rules? Only time will tell.

Perhaps it's a good idea to enjoy this first week. Go swimming, watch a movie, or just hang out together and get to know each other better. You never know, this might be the last time to see some of the contestants.

If you could retrieve one item from your homeworld, what would it be?

[Yes. Stars blushing would be a great scientific find.

A hmm and position shift as he thinks. ]

I suppose my operating room doesn’t count, huh? ...Probably cigarettes, honestly. That’s not something the house wants to provide me, and I’ve only got the one pack.

[The pack isn’t going to last long, at this rate.]

[ Surely multiple scientific journals would love to publish it. ]

I don't see why it wouldn't, but it would be difficult to transport. [ Think big! ] Ah, did you ask it for some?

[ Since Dazai said it was alive or something like it. ]

I did. Unless it's hidden some somewhere inside and I haven't found them yet, I doubt it will decide to in the future.

That would not surprise me. It seems to have some kind of will of it's own or it may not appreciate the smell of cigarettes. [ Maybe the house just wants to be smoke free and cares about your lungs, Ozaki. ]

[Alcor is the most qualified to run a senior citizen center, maybe he should move his "homebase" to Sotoba the Second]

I don't know why it would get up in arms over that--I've been smoking outside only. Even if I choose to smoke, I know secondhand smoke can be just as bad, and that the others haven't made that choice.

[Ozaki (kinda?) cares about his sanity more than his lungs, kthx]

Putting others lives before your own...that is similar to the Hippocratic oath too, isn't it?

I can't say the oath says to put others explicitly before yourself, but it talks plenty of practicing kindness towards the patients you treat.

[Then he continues with a clear tone of recitation] "I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure." No need to hurt someone else's lungs to settle myself.

I see...yes that makes sense. I wonder if you will need to do much "settling" here.
